Just purchased a brocock

Just bought my first PCP rifle. Well versed with traditional weapon systems, as I am a Marine Veteran (0311 infantry baby). Pretty stoked about not cleaning carbon and slinging $$$ down range.

Picked up the Brocock Commander Xr .25 from AoA. PCP compressor from edgunswest, Atn x-sight 4k pro from ATN direct.

Opinions on the brocock brand? (I understand it’s under the same ownership as daystate and others within that umbrella group)

I plink, I small game hunt, and pesting around the property (roughly 3acres)

Should be here tomorrow or Thursday btw, will post pics once it’s in. Thanks guys!
Semper Fi Marine,

I have two Brococks (Bantam and Sniper XR both .25's) and one Daystate (Red Wolf .22 HP). Both of the Brococks are Drama Free (Unlike a LT with a Compass) Just regulated my Bantam and need to do some fine tuning. I've only had the XR for a couple month, shot twice so far.

I had a ATN 4k Pro 4-16x on my Bantam but shooting during the day and focusing was a pain so I put glass on it for daytime shooting.

As an 0311 (Infantry) I'm sure your familiar with how to shoot, but if you need some lessons this 6821 (Weather Observer) would be more than happy to teach you. :ROFLMAO:

Where are you located?

@Alifepotato I’ve owned a .25 Brocock Bantam Sniper HR for over a year. I shoot it pretty frequently. I bought it used and it came with regulator issues. I ended up ordering a new medium-pressure Huma regulator and installed it myself. I’m not too handy, but it wasn’t difficult with guidance from YouTube videos and AGN members. There’s also a decent amount of information on the Bantam/Commander line on AGN. It’s a solid gun. I’ve also made my own adjustments to get it slinging pellets to my desired velocity. I really like the ability to adjust the transfer port setting on the fly to decrease velocity with the turn of a knob. The fit and finish of the rifle is great. It’s also a pretty robustly built rifle. I like shooting from a tripod, bipod, and offhand. I’ve shot mine out to around 110 yards and it performed fairly well with slugs at that distance.

My biggest gripe has been difficultly in dealing with the company to get information in order to work on my gun. I’m under the impression that Brocock is very protective of their design information and they encourage buyers/owners to send their guns into certified repair facilities for just about all maintenance and repairs. My two cents.

Congrats on choosing a Brocock. I just bought a new Brocock Commander XR magnum in 22 ( longer barrel ) Owner of two weeks I went back and forth looking at XR m3 and Brocock. So many issues with XRs. Maybe next year. I just needed a pcp to kill a few squirrels and rabbits on my 4 acres but I’m very pleased and amazed how accurate this gun is. 1-50 yards dead on in the 1/4” dot. Or bullet in bullet And I shoot both JSBs in slug a pellet. Same grain 25.39. Each. No reason to change scope settings My scope is the Athlon 6-24x50. Scope , Eagle adjustable rings ( very Cool ). And a 0db silencer awsome even though I’m on my land I don’t want the distant neighbors to know if I’m killing the local pets lol. I’m shooting at 100 yds just 1.5 mill dot in elevation not bad with every slug in the red 1/4” dot. I was amazed. Knowing pellets wobble after 75yds. Before my pick it was 2 weeks thinking 22 cal or 25. I went with 22. I shot a squirrel in the head at 100yds and one in the shoulder at 75 yds both dropped like stones. I always hunted squirrels with my 22 magnum Browning A bolt with a big scope. These guns outshoot my rim fires yet it’s quit … l love the the wak sound after you pull the trigger. Bullet hitting the animal. Very cool. I bought from AGA also great people great service

Again congats on you new purchase

Brocock is one of those brands that you hardly hear people having problems with. They're good to go out of the box and I don't think you'll have any regrets.

Yeah those FX seem to have a lot of problems. I love to tinker but not with what I want to consider a daily shooter.

I do love that impact m3 though, looks badass.

I would have picked up the commander in 22 but they only had 25 and I’m cool with that. The pellet guns I’ve owned over the years were always break barrel .177 & .22. Decided to try something new.

100yrds is perfect for me, sounds like your experience is what in after right now.

I got one of those Atn xsight scopes. Mainly because of easy zero, & to shoot some pests that come into the property at night. Really hoping it works out. Read a lot of issues, but read a lot of positive reviews as well. Sounds like if you read the instructions and take your time it’s all good. We shall see.

How loins is it with the moderator it comes with? The videos sounded decently quiet. Hell one video sounded quieter stock than it did with a Donny do ronin

AGA recommended the 0Db moderator on the magnum. It’s whisper quite. Without it’s a bang. Pretty loud. But it makes that 23 in barrel look long but the 23 “ barrel will shoot better at loner ranges. Most the time Love the mill dots in the scope for hold over at those longer ranges. But 25 yards dead on, 35 years slight hold under ( pellet or slug rise ) 45-50 dead on. 65 yards one mil dot over. And 100 yards 1.5 mill dot over. Not bad a great small game getter.

I ready do like the slugs over the pellets tighter groups. Longer range. But both super hard hitting. Shot two crows with pellets through general body. Loud “”” Wak”””” No movements…. Not a feather

I saw that magnum too but still wanted a shorter barrel, but not too short. Just the regular commander xr from I think 3yrs ago now? Seems to be when it possibly came out.

Those are good numbers, that’s not too shabby at all. That’s realistically all I’ll be shooting anywho, so yeah. Rock solid, right on thanks for the info.

Anyone know what’s coming down from their pipeline next? Brocock that is

I like the ability to shoot JSB 25.39 gr pellet plus the JSB knock out same 29.39 gr without changing any settings. One click of scope left to right. Done And 100 yds is so amazing with the slugs

This gun out shoots any of my 22 mags with great scopes I love my 0db whisper quite I use the gun for squirrels in those high oaks braced on a primos trigger bi pod. Deadly combo.

AGA recommended a Athlon 6-24x50 non adjustable obj scope. Great glass fast to shoot scope easier than adjusting the objective type. And those Eagle 🦅 scope mounts are amazing being adjustable scope mounts ‘ a first for me’ great advice from AGA. Very precessional and knowledgeable group. I’ll be back for my next gun for sure.

Well I just got it in the mail! Gotta say it is loud! Will certainly be getting a donnyfl for it lol.

I sent that ATN scope back, can’t believe people actually enjoy viewing a 720p little screen. 14yrs later and I instantly remembered why I can’t stand digital scopes. Thermal ok, NV, 720p don’t cut it, same with day use lol.

I’ll probably pick up an athlon. I just finished moving and I’m not even sure what the heck I did with my old scopes and bipods from back in the day.

Gun seems very well built. Can’t complain as long as she holds up. Smiles per pellet.

Athlon always a good choice. Pair it with a Oneleaf NV Commander or the newer Pard 007V for a budget night vision solution.

There are other quieter moderators on the market and save some money for Pellets.

Yep, AGA sold me on an Athlon 6-24x50 with eagle adjustable rings …. Those were new to me ‘ adjustable ‘. Scope was around $400 +. Non adjustable objective it’s focused by nob on left of elevation nob …. Glass is very clear. I really like it.
It’s got marks for hold over or under. Can’t beat the price. I’ve bought leopord for my 22 guns but this scope is as clear as those scopes but for far less cash.

My 0DB I bought for it is awesome…. Very quite and a fair price. From AIr guns of Arizona

Yessir, and can't beat that lifetime warranty no questions asked. For my eyes, no better glass + turrets in that price range.
