wolfieHi
Be very interested to see 50 and 100 yard targets. Say bench rested, no or little wind .My local gun shop posted videos of a 9 mm Cricket at 50 yards fired indoors by a talented airgun shot. Was singularly unimpressed.
Curious where the trade off between sheer power and accuracy lies on the bigger calibres. .25 / .30/ .357(9mm) ? Without special tuning.
safe shooting
Sorry but there is absolutely no way I can give comparisons between what I make and factory items, that would mean testing every single shroud and LDC I make and compare them to every gun I make them for, it is just not possible! If you have the factory shroud modified and then add a larger OD LDC to it, that is the best way to quieten it down, Neil."drid"Hi neil. Can you give any sort of comparison to standard factory and yours. Thanx
"NeilClague"Zebra when I answered the question on the big bores I was basing my answer on the really powerful big bores, the Crickets already have a shroud, if you add threads to the shroud and then add an LDC to it they can be made pretty tame. But when you talk about a big bore putting out 300 to 500fpe you are not going to make them back yard friendly without a very large can on them. If you have a 100fpe gun I make shrouds and LDC's for them all the time and they can be tamed fairly easily. I do not fully remember our discussion but I thought you had talked about wanting to shoot it on your porch in the very early hours and did not want to aggravate the neighbors, although they can be made pretty quiet I am still not sure even a fairly tame gun should be shot in the early hours when people are still sleeping. I always air on the side of caution when it comes to shooting guns and irritating neighbors, Neil.
PS. My 8 inch x 1.5 inch OD suppressors are pretty light weight, what did you put inside yours, a sheet of lead? lol
I would expect that from the 25. The 25 Cricket is not super loud with just the factory shroud. The 9mm Cricket is twice as loud."iride"I have a LDC (Neil) on my 25 Cricket, To me its back yard friendly,
Its the pellet hitting my wood back stop at 48 yards that makes all the noise,
Even a box fill with old clothes the pellet makes more noise than the gun..
