Trying to convince myself to pick up a Cricket 2 Tactical 45 in .22. From what I can see Talon Tunes has the best price right now at 1349.... but for how long??!!
The last Kalibrguns I owned; nothing has caught my eye since. Still one of my favorite PCP's of all time and probably the ONLY rifles I've ever regretted selling...
The Argus 45 is a great little gun. A little on the heavy side for such a short gun, but the weight actually helps a little in shooting offhand. A little modification to the stock, as the original stock...well, it needed changing !
While not one of my top favorites, I shoot well with it. Again, as I guess most Crickets seem to be, a little on the heavy side, compared to many, but yeah, it helps keep the gun from wandering while aiming. They do a pretty good job of building a fairly quiet gun also, so it only needed this open chamber (FX I think) canister on the end of the barrel.
[I've got the original. Outside of the excellent accuracy, I don't care for. Rear cock , no external reg adjustment, heavy. Sure like to try one of the new bloods. Do they have external reg?
The Tactical doesn't have an external reg ; I put a Huma reg set at 135 bar , very easy to adjust with the Huma regulator tester . The Kalibrgun Springbok , semi-auto ,has an outside adjustable reg and a reg pressure gauge. My next gun , for sure . I also put an adustable hammer spring on the Cricket .25.
Not sure that the FX bottle would fit on the Tactical.
Yeah, the lack of available regulator testers for OEM Kalibrgun regs led me to put a HUMA into my 22 cal tactical too. Unfortunately, life has kept me too busy to do much shooting in weeks since.
Here are some of my favorite pics:
And oh yeah... that HUMA? In my first 50 shots I got this. I think we'll be getting along just fine!
I like the simplicity of my 45, not one for tuning and why would I it's great out of the box and dead accurate. Just wish I could get out and shoot more
.30 Tac 60 on Top. .22 Tac 45 on left. .177 Tac 45 on right. .30 Tac 60 w/ SC custom stock on bottom. That’s right, 2 .30s. Long story short, one on top was off to Steve. He was making the first custom stock for the Cricket Tacs. I acquired another .30, cause they are that good and I couldn’t wait any longer for Steve to get my gun back
my Argus60 22 cal. Sat for 5 weeks but delivered a 10 shot group at 920 fps with a spread of 3 fps. That's pretty darn good and consistent. Accuracy ot to 60 yrds is phenomenal.
