Karma Karma SLS Standard .

I just saw the compact rig. A little curious about its performance in semi-auto, standard or compact.

saw this vid on the compact

Last month I got the .25 standard...Absolutely awesome....I haven't been able to really shoot a whole lot, a couple of clips a day, just sooo cold out & am actually asking out if anyone knows the degree to which freezing temps affect POI? I can't imagine it doesn't to at least some degree, if not significantly...
Basically I'm just playing with it so far, with the FX pocket chrony II - out of the box, I'm hitting around 760fps using JSB Jumbo King 33gr pellets, ~840-860 using 26gr FX Hybrid slugs and 26gr FX pellets - around 38 - 43fpe in the same order.
It's so, so consistent. Hole-in-hole over and over again @30-40 yds. Again, I haven't been able to really sit out and get nitty gritty with it, but over the last month am amazed at the consistency and power. I watch videos of guys bumping up to the 850-910fps range after some tuning, which is so, so easy. Adjustable stock, picatinny on top and both sides (perfect for radar chrony placement), and with a DonnyFL Sumo (recommended for it by Karma) it's still got a POP, but not too bad. More sound when in semi-auto, makes sense due to the extra air used to reload the shots. When in semi, it has a totally different sound, a nice CLINK as it chambers the subsequent rounds.
During the $ sportsman review, I did learn that when in semi, you do have to release the trigger fully for the SA to reload correctly. When in side lever, ensure that when returning the lever it clicks back into place or it will shoot a little wonky and pop the lever out a little.
I'm a novice, still have a lot to learn. I started out with a Notos that I spent a lot of time and $ upgrading, more to learn the ins and outs of airguns. I did learn a lot - primarily the precision involved in these things to shoot right. I got it mostly where I had hoped to, then saw this new and just impulse bought in like a "gotta have it" type moment LOL - I'm glad I did though.
The reg and power valve and hammer spring are all externally adjustable, with the hammer spring accessible by folding the stock open. $ sportsman also has a video out in the field where he goes over tuning it per the ammo he's using which was really helpful as a primer. DonnyFL/Karma also has several videos of PJ going over the features and tuning as well.
With the arca rail and big tank (which is great), it is a tad on the heavy side, so bipod/sling, etc. are good ideas if going out to the woods or at a bench. But this thing is so solid. Each round slides in perfectly and smoothly. Pellets have a slight catch entering the port, slugs slide right in. The difference in magazines, which are nice aluminum mags, they do not have a stop on the 11th round. So it's easy to dry fire if you don't keep up with shots. But, PJ on the Donny site suggests when converting from SA back to SL, that since it auto chambers the last round, you have to fire it into a back stop before popping the button back in to go to SL mode, and didn't seem to emphasize that a dry fire is harmful. That's where another question I've meant to email & ask about is, since it's either shoot 9, switch to SL then fire out, or if shoot 10 and dry fire it to switch...Maybe someone out there can answer that one for me also?
I have a Vortex Veyron scope on the way that was suggested by Miami Airguns on youtube, he has a few good vids on it too. But that scope was pretty hard to find, only on Amazon is where I found it. Even wasn't on the Vortex site. It's slightly more compact and is a 6-24x - 44m scope that seemed a good fit for target + woods hunts. We'll see.
Overall, I'm just thrilled with this thing. Takes the guessing out of whether or not it's the gun, or scope, or error when shots are off - it's definitely not the gun. Hopefully no lemons are out there, but at least in my case it was dead on out of the box. If you want to get some insight on it and haven't already, check those videos out - Karma, $$ sportsman, Miami Airgun Alley, Airgun Annie. I'm sure we'll see and hear more as this one makes its way in the hands of more folks. Hopefully some extended mags eventually too - the .25 is a 10-shot mag. Not bad, just leaves you wanting more when in SA mode.
I look forward to hearing back from you guys as you trial it & any details you pick up on to share, and after market add-ons, etc...
Sorry it's long, hoping to leave some detail out there if anyone is considering one. Any feedback is appreciated as I learn this thing too - Thanks!

Thanks for the write up! I got mine a few weeks ago and have been too busy to get out and shoot. My back yard is too small so I have to travel somewhere else to shoot. I will try to provide feedback once I get a chance to play with it.

No I sure haven't...I'd do this..Go to DonnyFL site and do the "contact us' and get that insider info. It could be one of those things that's "here in the US, but not in UK" or vice versa...Prime example is the anti-cant bubble level at the edge of the pic rail (closest to your eye) built in for the UK models, but not the US models  - So Give them a holler. PJ,who typically does the replying (and does the "Wisconsin Airgunners" channel on YouTube) and is a very knowledgeable guy within their organization. good luck and let me/us know too what you find too please.
