AirMaks Arms Katran Standard B in .22 cal

I am wanting to read about your experiences with the AirMaks Katran Standard B in .22 cal. Please share all the good, bad and indifferent experiences you have had with this rifle and the company. Looking also for information concerning ease of tuning, rebuilding as necessary (O-rings and assorted parts) and company response to issues or problems. And finally I would like to know how sturdy the folding stock mechanism really is: does it latch securely without flex or wobble and what would you change to make the rifle better? Thanks in advance.

I had the LB version which should just be a longer barrel than the B. But the stock is really nice and adjustable, the stock is mostly solid, there is a smidge of wobble but I was seen threads of members fixing it. No wobble as all though.

Mine shot amazingly, I shot the 15.89gr at 1040fps and at 50yds I wouod get 3/4 - 1" grounds. Which for 50yds I would normally find horrific, but given that it shot them at 1044fps and I could still get head shots at iguanas at that distance, I wasn't complaing.

Now the 25.39gr FX, and the 25.3gr AEA pellets fed nicely and they shot even better. Dime sized groups were a breeze at 50yds going 900fps and the 21.9gr AEA shot 932-936fps and shot just as good.

I will say that I replaced moderator for a Dony FL FX or Huma mod 30, both were quieter than the airmaks mod and shot better.

The trigger is amazing and adjustable, better than FX, about on par with Taipan veteran.

I had the LB in 22 as well. Front heavy, but if shooting off a bench very accurate and able to get 70+ shots. Also had the standard in .177, both were excellent rifles and as for the stocks I never had any issues. Never had to replace orings but African Ordinance, (i think that's the site) has shows adjusting the regulator and it looks to be pretty straight forward.
The quality of craftsman ship i thought was excellent and trigger was very nice. Mags are solid and cycled very smooth.
Only reason I don't still have them is i upgraded to the Krait and have no regrets.
