Here comes another stupid question. Hw80k, gold star pellets=keyholes @25ish mtrs? Why? Barrel is clean. Gun has probably only seen a hand full of pellets since new. Any ideas guys?
From what I'm seeing those Gold Stars are 8.64gr? Even out of an 80K they shouldn't be going supersonic so that takes that out of the equation, although it may really hate those pellets still. I would recommend switching to something in the 10gr + range though. That gun is a bit too powerful for anything much lighter.Target is gone now, was shooting with 3 other guns and only the hw80 was doing it. Crown is mint, im gunna try some heavyer pellets, mabie its spitting them too quick
Okay so its a .22 im based in the UK so im sub 12fpe. The gun is from 96-97 but its like new. Im pritty sure its not even seen a whole tin of pellets due to the action being quite violent still. Im going to run a shed load of cheap pellets through it and see if she settles down a bit and then il get back to you. From what I'm seeing those Gold Stars are 8.64gr? Pay attention to the tears in the target next time. If they're all pointing in the same direction, the paper may just not like that velocity/caliber selection.
I just re-read the post and I'm not sure where I got .177 from lol. Sorry about that. Have you cleaned the barrel yet? With it sitting for so long I would go to town with some JB bore paste on a mop and cleaning rod to really get it to shine.Okay so its a .22 im based in the UK so im sub 12fpe.
