🤔 KnockOut Slugs Falling Out Of OEM Magazine?!?

I was shooting .25cal JSB KnockOut slugs from an RTI Prophet 3. The MKII with the flared skirts.

But many slugs fell out of my OEM magazine when I simply tilted the gun at a 45⁰ angle upwards....

▪ Do the KO's just not like the RTI OEM mags?
▪ Are aftermarket mags the solution to using KO's (because I liked their precision at 100m)?

▪ What .25cal slugs DO work in the RTI OEM mag.?

Thanks for your help! 😃

Probably need a slug specific mag with 2 spaced orings vs orings right next to each other. Carms are sealed on the back so that may be what you need. I smack the stock mag against my hand after filling it to seat the ammo just a little bit deeper. Can't smack it too hard and push them all to the front where there drag and cause feeding issues though.

There is some Orion mags in the classifieds that also semi trap the ammo from the back that would keep them from backing out. $25 for 2 is not bad.

A common issue with some MAG designs.
The Vulcan 3 i had did it, and i am quite sure if i was to use my Two magazine and point it a little up while cocking it and i would have to go lead fishing in the receiver.

Mind you on the Two, when my friend somehow managed to jam a slug in there using my single shot loader, i just removed single shot loader - turned rifle upside down + pointing downwards and racked / jiggled the cocking lever and " plop" the .177 / 4.5 mm slug fell out.

You for damn sure do NOT what to use force when your mechanics suddenly feel weird.

you could maybe also blame it in probe design, the probe on my Two have a big fat body so like 10 mm in diameter, but the front probe part is just the 4.5 mm i shoot, so with the cocking lever all the way back you have a huge gaping hole behind the magazine, and so if the probe tip itself are also way back, well anything in firering position can fall back out, and in the case of AGT and Epic magazines as they have a 2 slot wide loading position, 2 slugs can fall back out of the damn thing.

Also sure my single shot tray ( Carm ) will let a slug slide back out CUZ there are no retention O-rings in it, but my rifle was level when my friend got a slug in there, but in all fairness i have also managed that myself a couple of times.

I did a video with my Two Magazine here in front of the computer, it is hit / miss if i can get slugs to slide back out of it, for sure if i was to use it, keep rifle level or pointing down when cocking it.

I do prefer lid style magazines i have to admit, crank it, pit in 1 pellet / slug to lock spring in place, and then just jam them in there.

Do the new OEM mags have o-rings? Maybe the o-rings are old and not flexible enough to conform to the slug shape?
