I recently purchased a kral puncher jumbo .22 with 24j and wanted to know if anyone knows if I can increase it up to 35 / 40j. If anyone can help I am grateful.
You may wish to start with increasing the hammer spring tension but will probably need to open up the ports to 80% of the cal. I suggest you look up Vetmex's older Kral Jumbo Project thread for details.
3 cautionary comments:
- many of these guns require you to heat up the air system components (bottle, valve etc) with a small gas torch to dismantle. High temperature often needed. This is a bit scary but I haven't damaged anything yet. You may just need to replace some o rings and maybe the valve stem (spares from Pyramydair) after that.
- the air flow adjuster is best taken out when opening it up, use a dremel tool. Drilling thru it while it is in place may work as well, but you will weaken and maybe even destroy it if you don't drill straight. Which is not easy to do.
- open up the barrel port with a dremel tool, not a drill which makes burrs. Fashion an oval.towards the muzzle and the breech.
Good luck. This is a very nice + accurate gun with some tuning.
