Tuning Kratos barrel swap

Good Morning all, I’m new to the PCP world and was curious to see what you guys knew about aftermarket barrels. The stock barrel on my Kratos doesn’t like slugs (previous post about blowing orings at transfer port). What companies make barrels that have been proven accuracy with slugs (length, twist etc). I’d like to shoot slugs over pellets. I bought the .25 for a specific application and that involves accuracy quarter sized at 75+ yards. Thanks for any input.

how i would do it is first locate a decent gunsmith, local gun and pawn shops alot of times have a guy .. go in and talk to them and ask them about doing an airgun barrel ... then order one from a place like lothar walter .. they come as a blank id measure your barrel and get it in the correct diameter .. i suggest an unchoked poly .. take it to him and do it up ..

You could get a top tier barrel installed. I think the rigidity is more important though. I've seen Korean Evanix shoot pellets & slugs extremely well.

I don't think you want a .2573" caliber Lilja but this build guarantees sub 1/4" at 100.

First try at 305 yards with a 72 grain RBT Griffin at 980fps. Within 1 1/4" on first try? I'm happy for now.

There's a TJ Hammer forged barrel blank available that works nice with slugs. .250 bore 1-14" twist and not too hard to fit. Turning up the power isn't very hard either. Should easily get .25 cal 30ish gr slugs up to 900+ fps. Barrel does require machining plus some valve and porting plus hammerspring upgrade but makes a great sub $1000 slug gun even after all the upgrades.
