EDgun L2 Bleed screw isn’t actually 2mm?

I’m finally getting around to working on my L2 for the first time. I watched a video from Brian on YT (Edgun West) and it’s a 2.5mm Allen key. However when I place mine in the bleed screw there’s about 25/30 degrees of movement! When looking at the bleed screw itself it doesn’t look damaged at all. Anyone else have this issue, btw I know how to resolve it which is to use a later glove to fill in the extra space but I’m more just wondering if anyone else had this experience and did ordering a replacement part (#38 here)

There is a YouTube video that mentions this but I don't recall the channel or what sort of work they were doing that required de-gassing. Would be interesting to find it & see if it's discussed in the comments.

Thank you! At least I’m not alone, hopefully other will chime in as to whether a replacement resolved the issue

This is interesting. I’ve had several L2s since their intro. First ones came with a 2mm bleed. Then a 2.5mm bleed. I am not aware of any other change but it’s possible.

Have you tried a 3mm or SAE size hex on it?

Yes, the allenkey size is good. You shall look up some ANSI/DIN standards. The hex pocket in the setscrew is designed with clearance. Always use good quality metric allenkey set on metric guns.
The next advise is (I see you have not much experienced with screws) ... never try to slowly torque any screw in-or-out, you need to "break loose" or "break tight" with a moment of inertia. Otherwise after a lot of use either the tool or the hex could wear out prematurely.

Could just be an out of tolerance screw. Once removed you could just replace it with a good one. Set screw kits are super cheap from Amazon.

Is it not a USA manufactured EdGun ?
Could very well be an SAE spec screw ?

Yes I tried both 3mm and SAE and neither worked (SAE spun around, and the 3 wouldn’t fit)

It is Russian manufactured and I tried 5/64 for good measure which was also extraordinarily loose and 3/32 was too large : (

@bigHUN I never thought about this. Is it because the metal can slowly bend but to bend it quickly would require more force so less energy bleeds from deformation?

Also I put the 2.5mm Allen key inside a latex glove and that seems to work. As @ctshooter pointed out, I think my best bet is maybe just purchasing 3rd party set screws.
