Largest coon to date

I’ve taken a lot of large coons in the past couple of years with air guns mostly with the L2 with slugs. However, the new Zan Br 100 pellets have brought a new joy to fur hunting. The power pup dropped this 40 lb coon in his tracks at 50 yds. While the entry was not of slug proportions. The impact was much more significant. Looking forward to more heavy pellet offerings in the hades and Zan.

I suppose I will add this big boy to the air gun room of taxidermy.

I did not believe myself. However I weighed it on a certified fishing scale (boga grip).

That one is HUGE, fantastic shotnand pic! I saw one awhile back while taking my chihuahua out to pee in the middle of the night that I thought at first was a yote it was so big, it was 10yds away.....they can get BIG!

So this is what I found on the internet, apparently the largest coon ever recorded came in at an astonishing weight of 75lbs!!! I'd be scared if there is a coon that size in my hood! I thought my 18lb coon was big and heavy! Holy cow!

Don't hear much about ZAN's BR100 (56 grain) .30 pellets. Included 2 boxes in recent ZANs purchase, Uragan 2 and Vulcan 3 (700mm) didn't like but FX MK3 Wildcat Sniper holed two, third slightly right, still connected @ 50 yards. Needless to say, very impressive, glad to see they carry knockdown power, too. Good Shooting, WM

They don’t get much over 20lbs down in my area. No need to bulk up for winter in central FL.

What are you running for a scope? I've seen some large coons in the Midwest. That's a brute whereever it was taken. They don't seem to get to any real size out here on the Leftist Coast.
