Some of my latest work. The top orange one is my Benjamin fortitude that I dipped a little bit back. I was so happy with it I dipped green one too. That is my 30-06 that I use to hunt. Overall very happy with it definitely recommend if you have a synthetic stock.

Very nice I just don't trust myself to not screw it up lol!
practice on some scrap first

Also Ive noticed there;s a couple of camps for paint dipping: spray paint on the surface and paint poured onto the surface.
the former folks just cover the surface with the rattle can and dip, the latter water temps are measured and controlled, other chemicals are added (borax comes to mind) making it a more complicated process.

bear in mind the paint wont be perfectly flat on the dipped item. Like I said, practice a few times and then do the real part

I think you can buy these different stencils to put on the water and then dip.
I have never looked much into it, even if a am a painter and have a nice airbrush but my artistic skill level are stick man.
So i should look into this as i am SOL in regard to using the airbrush.

Of course yoyu probably need to seal the dip with a lacquer or varnish of some sort, but you can get that on rattle can in the DIY store.
