Latest on the Hatsan Galatian .22

I am still waiting for the die to make an add on for the gun, although, personally I do not think it needs one. but there again I am lucky with the amount of space I have here for shooting. Once I found a spare scope that would fit the gun with the lower scope rings I had, I sighted the gun in and was very happy with the accuracy. At 50 yards I was getting a one hole ragged group and could often pick out a single pellet hole on my board and put another one right inside it, very accurate for the price level, no complaints there. I find the cocking lever much nicer than on the older Hatsans and like the fact that the magazine holds 14 pellets and it comes with 2 of them, that's a nice touch. I really like the finish and looks of the new Galation, it just looks a bit higher quality than the older Hatsans and Pneuma's. I have not checked on the shot count yet but I will do when I have some more shooting time. It also packs quite a punch at 50 yards, I will try stretching it out to maybe 65 yards and see how the accuracy is out to that range. For the money I think it is an excellent air gun, Neil.

Well the die arrived and I made a 5inch long carbon fiber LDC for the Galatian, the report changed a little to more of a thud, so I am not sure if it is the report or hammer noise. So I am going to make a 7 inch long LDC, if the noise is still there it will mean it is hammer noise and not the report. I will post the results on here when I have them. If it is hammer noise I will have to look into a fix as it is quite loud, Neil.
