Lead-free HUNTING pellets/slugs?

I don’t want to fill my yard with lead anymore.

Been using Baracuda Greens in my .25 for general rodent / pest control.

However, they just lack the OOMPH and terminal ballistics of a swaged lead slug.

Is there a .25 lead-free HUNTING ammo with a surplus of OOMPH?

For me it would be like closing the barn door after the horse got out LMAO Lead free pellets aren't easy to find around here either.

I've resorted to casting my own from NOE molds in .25 caliber. Castin tin (pewter) is easier than lead as it melts at a cooler temperature, and the pellets shoot well once I find the best skirt depth and learn to cast consistently. NOE magnum .25 pellets run up to 25 grains.

Leadfree H&N is probably the best you can do right now unfortunately. Due to the light weight they are not good at longer distances like 50 yards or more but up close they pack a punch with their higher speed. Upside of that is they are safer in more confined areas.

Hope with EU lead ban we get more options soon.
