Tuning Leaking Mutant Shorty

Looking for a little advice here. I have a Tiapan Mutant Shorty that I just love. It's lights out accurate, super quiet, and just fun to shoot. It reciently started leaking and I just got around to taking it apart, hoping replacing a few O rings would fix it... it didn't. I'm 90% sure its the regulator. I could order a Huma reg or try to repair the one I have, but I'm busy these days and am thinking about just sending it out. One issue is just getting the right O rings. I can't find anyone that sells a kit for the Mutants, unlike FX and other brands. Can anyone recommend a repair service for Mutants, or tell me where I might find an O ring kit for the gun.

I just finished rebuilding mine and my very slow leak was the gauge. I found it by spraying soapy water on it after taking off the fill probe cover. Just a small Allen screw pulls right off. It wouldn’t leak until after 2oo bar.

Naw ... my services are more TUNING and MODIFICATION based. Basic servicing / resealing or AKA maintenance type work sadly is not the type work I'm seeking.

Hey Tony - I couldn't get the fill probe cover off, even with the screw removed. Mine didn't just slide off and I didn't want to force it. I'll try again. Thanks!!!

Scott - I appreciate your answer. I should be able to fix this thing myself. Just wish someone sold an O ring kit for it. Makes life so much easier.

I would call Charlie at Georgia air guns, he knows Taipans very well and is very meticulous. I just had the same problem this weekend, was a little cold in the morning and went to fill and the old mutant, popped an oring on the reg, it quit leaking later in the day, but I changed it anyway.

Just got done re-taping my fill port and my gauge on a brand new Air Force Texan SS tank.. Both were leaking from the factory. Loosing about 1500 psi in 8 hrs. Hopefully i have it stopped or at least cut back a little. I could live with about 100 PSI drop but half a tank was too much.
