Leaky air tank

Has anyone ever had their air tank leak between the bottle and the valve assembly. Brought it to a dive shop so they could install a new o-ring and refill. They said it must be an odd size o-ring because they could not get it to stop. So now I probably don't have the original o-ring to check the size. Any one know what size it takes?

I inspected the outside and couldn't see anything. As soon as all the air is out I'll inspect the inside. This bottle is only 3 years old and gets treated like a new born baby..

Opps maybe metric but I don't know for sure sorry. Make sure the o-ring sealing surfaces are clean.

Every thing looks to be fine with the exception of the o-ring the dive shop put in. It's about 1/32" short of touching the sealing surfaces. (idiots). Now I need to find out what size o-ring is the correct one to use. And those dummies cranked on the valve trying to stop the leak. Thank god I had a huge strap wrench & I made a piece to thread into where the din connector goes or else I would have never got the valve off.

If it has an M18x1.5 metric thread, the O-ring size should be 18x2.62mm. I'm guessing that the dive shop mistakingly assumed that it was imperial. Either way, they should have known better.

Well I got hold of Jim and Nancy over at Precision Airguns. They have the required o-rings in stock. they will be here tomorrow along with some heavy .30 pellets.

I'll let ya'all know the size when they get here.

It's a metric #211 o-ring

Stoped the leak. There wasn't much compression on the o-ring. I really thought it would have been bigger.
