Interesting, when mounting my optic, the rail and barrel appeared parallel and level to each other. At least according to my rough measurements.Food for thought. Ever wonder why barrels look like they are bent down? For some reason most all times it’s bent down right? People obviously don’t like it visually yet accuracy is unfazed. In all the services I’ve done with all airguns that have this issue is because the main tube is angled slightly north due to the connection to the body of the airgun. Turkish guns are notorious for this.
When you install a band that’s mounted to the tube on a barrel that’s actually straight it will angle the barrel upwards and off the plain of the scope rail. With that being said yes there are bent barrels from time to time from manufacturers but most misalignment’s are actually due to the tube itself.
Not a complaint but nobody ever thinks of that scenario either. It’s just quick to say the barrel is bent due to the illusion.
