Umarex Leaning towards a Zelos as a first PCP

IDK, I like this a lot for a few dollars more. lots of parts and assistance if you need it. plenty of good dealers and easily adjustable for deferent shooting scenarios Im shooting it with a vortec red dot at the moment and its plenty accurate out to 50 yards (minute of squirrel)

UH OH somebody looked down the rabbit hole and liked the looks of it!!!
Great gun and if you can resist the FX virus of screwing with it all the time a great and reliable gun.
AS coastal drifter said “buy once, cry once”.

My objection now to Umarex is that it appears that spare / repair parts are difficult to obtain.

Parts are readily available....
$240 will buy a lot of spare Notos parts, and $440 will buy a lot of Zelos parts.
$680 would purchase 2 complete new guns, AND a spare parts business too!
Its a business opportunity, just waiting to happen!

Wait or a referbished sale and grab your parts guns ...lol. ( or use your broken gun to referb the referb😉)

I wrote to Umarex, and asked about spare part availability for the M60b. This was the response that I received:

At the moment, we do not stock any spare parts. Although they will be available in the future. If the gun needs to be repaired, it must be sent in, and it will be covered under warranty.

Get the Avenge-x Compact in .25 or .22!! Known amazing accuracy, cheap to switch calibers and get spare parts. Great gun for less money.
Tnx.... I'm considering this now instead. Thankfully there appear to be a bunch of accurate PCPs in .25 for $600 or less. I need to contact AoA and find out what parts availability looks like.

Awful materials, very disapointed in them beyond the accuracy.
so far im very happy with mine that I bought another and intend on buying the compact over a Zelos. I was considering one until they released the Avgx Compact. Ive put thousand of rounds thru mine with now only 1 leak. Mine now sits in a Saber tact chassis.

Youve been mentioning a "refurbish sale" for quite some time now, ... yet still no sale.
In fact, the M60B is on back order.....once again.
And your user name is very appropriate!
Where else pertaining to this threads gun .

I mean hatsan has them pa has them ,ect all the time all day everyday ..

So what's your point ? I understand some folks don't get humor or have a sense of as ment in my posting here ..lol...😟

I can't get their website to pull up but I think Krale had the metal bottle version of the M60B in stock. I ordered my 3 P35s from them. They are OK to deal with. You will get your gun in 3-4 days. One would not be enough to make you pay a customs duty.
Thanks.. I checked. They don't have a .25 in stock. Perhaps I should order a .30 now and a .25 later :)

It seems like parts have been mentioned several times. My Avenger has a little better availability of parts than my P35s but only a little better IMHO. My opinion is that you can get parts for chinese made airguns but it is far from as easy as it at least used to be with Crosman. It isn't like you can just call somebody, give them a credit card number and your parts go in the mail. When I ordered a barrel for my P35-25 I called Krale, they quoted me a price, I agreed and paid for it. Then I waited for most of a year for it to ship first to Krale with guns they ordered and then to me. There is a firm in England who sells poppets but they are out of stock at the moment. Magazines you can get (but Carm are better). I think I've seen springs somewhere.

But the other side of the equation is need. O-rings are all my guns have ever really needed and generic metric O-rings work fine.

If you only own one Chinese made airgun and not having it available is a big deal, the limited availability of parts would seem potentially important. You probably will not need any but if you do it could be a big deal. I have 6 PCPs and will almost certainly buy at least one more. If one is not servicable at any given point, it is not a life or death problem for me. I can just have fun with the other 5 until I get the parts to fix the out of service one.

I think this is a good reason for me to be patient, order my m60b from Wes, and get an extra o-ring kit for it as well.
Sigh.
December it is.
