I went to the range on Saturday morning. There was an 18 mph crosswind. Temps in the forties. I set up at 45 and 25 yards and I was just hoping to get on the paper target. To my surprise it was hitting just 4 Mil lines left at the 45 yard target. And it was three down. The wind was pretty consistent so I was able to get to the center of the target in three or four shots. Then drop the field target on the first shot from forty five yards out in an 18 mph crosswind. It was so much fun I did it again.
I am really surprised that after just three very breed sessions shooting in the wind. My confidence level had gone up a lot.
Before I was really intimidated by the wind. Now with some understanding and a tiny bit of practice. I can at least relax and make a good attempt at it.
