Leaving moderator attached all the time?

Do you all leave the moderator on the air gun or remove it after shooting every time?

I read that on a firearm it can foul the barrel due to the chemical byproducts of combustion, but with an airgun this shouldn't be an issue and safe to leave the moderator on all the time?

i leave mine on, even when cleaning the barrel.
i just use a straw to help thread the pull-through
I try to remove as little as possible..don't want any poi shifts

It depends on where I am shooting and what gun. Always a test shot or two if added or removed.

The only one I remove and replace is on my Impact, and only when I change barrels to change calibers, then the moderator comes off the barrel being removed and goes on the one being installed. All the rest all have dedicated moderators that work best with each airgun, so there's really no reason to remove them.

Thanks for the responses. I'll probably only remove mine occasionally to relube the threading so it doesn't get stuck on there over time

I remove to fit them easier in my safe. With a solid barrel you will see no ill effect.

I don’t see any reason to remove it. In airguns, it’s simply a LDC - lead dust collector. With a muffling benefit.
