New to PCP’s, but not new to shooting. I’m left handed and looking for a pcp .25 caliber rifle for hunting and pesting. My budget is 1k, what do you guys suggest.
Welcome to AGN. I shoot lefty, and my right handed son (left eye Dom) shoots lefty. There is no action that I cannot shoot lefty. The stock makes all the difference.
Are you target shooting or hunting? Bench shooting or hauling through the bush?
We all have our biases. Do you have access to dry air? Does your 1k include support equipment?
Whatsup jimNM, no not target shooting, hunting/ I do go through bushes, lava rock. I do have access to air and a connection who has shoe box compresser and who also has a guppy and tiger JB tank. 1k is for gun only. Just seeing what’s out there that others have, and have shot.
I too am a southpaw and for years I shot right handed rifles. Last year I picked up a used left handed Daystate Regal XL. Then a new left handed HW100BP-K. I mainly use mine for hunting so unless I get into bench shooting, I'll always spend the extra cash for a true left handed rifle. Someday I hope to have a left handed .25 Daystate Wolverine
For walking the wild lands, I prefer the Bull Pup design, or a carbine. What will you hunt? In Hawaii, I feel pigs and goats will be on the list. You will want at least . 25 and maybe even into the 30 cal range. Big billets and big power need big air. Thereby I suggest a bottle gun, rather than a tube gun. Magazine fed, single shot is hard to effectively hunt with where a follow-up shot maybe needed.
The Seneca/Sumatra lever guns are full sized, but they tick every other box. Lever action is quick and solid.
