Leishy Classic & Artemis PP700 question

That was definitely one of the reasons. The single shot was another. I really hoped the L2 would have been a side cocking repeater instead of a semi auto. The original was short, light, quiet, and easy to work on. The L2 properly silenced is non of the above, and with scarce repair information and questionable parts supply even on current models, I sold it. Thank you for helping me remember. Now I don't feel as stupid.

Seems like unlimited parts for the Leshiy classic online and AGS can get most parts here in Canada. Edgun doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. You could say all the same with the PP700 except quality and longevity should be way higher with Edgun.

I purchased two used Leshiy Classics that were broken and was able to source parts.

My plan was to make one working Leshiy out of two broken ones but with some research and searching I was able to source parts and get both working.

One I assume was due to what Vetmx mentioned earlier about the power being turned up too much. Actually arrived with the hammer spring just a few clicks from maxed out.

The other one I assume was just bad luck. It took some time sourcing parts but hasn't had any problems since.

If a backpack PCP with parts availability was the goal then I would think a P-rod would be the best. I have one and looked into doing that but it seemed like a potential money pit with little resale value.

A lot of your decision should depend on your skill set with a pistol. I am not being a smart ass, but very few folks can shoot a pistol well. The advantage of a pistol is fast target acquisition and a wide field of view. Both a shoulder extension or a scope detracts from those advantages. If you cannot shoot a pistol as a pistol, get the Leshiy. We could discuss quality and parts, but they are secondary to the above considerations.

P-rod isn't fully legal in Canada as it is a pistol that shoots over 500fps. The Leshiy is classified as rifle as you need the shoulder stock to operate. That is the problem with me building up a PP700. Its still a pistol at the end of the day and must stay sub 500fps. I think that statement alone is a convincing me to go Leshiy.

I shoot a pistol well. I sold off my rifle collection years ago when we sold off our property. I now only own and shoot Co2 pistols.

The Leshiy was going to be my first jump back into "rifle". Seemed like the best quality option for my hiking/camping excursions. Was just confirming I couldn't create a similar gun for a 3rd of price. As I get older though my hands do get shakier and the stock will help on the Leshiy.

Had a PP700. I hated the trigger compared to the Classic.

The Leshiy has the “2” stage trigger mod. Hoping I like the action on it.

Mine came with that mod when I bought it last year. I like it a lot and I haven’t touched the trigger at all since

Have you done any other mods to your Leshiy ? Huma regulated ?

I’ve got the stock regulator and a dzrod double tube air tank. I turned down the reg from 130 to 110 after my range session yesterday and now I’m going to check shot count/ power level next time I shoot it. I have both .25 and .22 barrels in 350mm, but I’m currently using the short .22 barrel so I can backpack the gun. 13.4g JSB’s were more accurate than Haydes at 50 yards yesterday—stacking, I was happy… They’re going at 885 FPS, and I’ll turn down the hammer spring a bit and see how I like that.
