Mounted the NX8 2.5-20 and tuned down to 40 FtLb with the .25 Kings. That is right at 840 fps. Strelok is dialed in👍🏻 Pellets are flying awesome. Gun is the quietest I own.

What do you have on there for a cheek rest??? I can't quite make it out.



Just thought I'd throw this out there. I have four vintage steel tube weavers I'd trade you for that scope on there. One I've even pulled a sock through, when looking at the sun it's candle bright............. Awesome scope too by the way!!!

That cheekrest is simply a strip of limbsaver. It is made to dampen vibration on compound bow risers. It has ad adhesive back and can be easily removed. I did this before Ed put out the clip on cheekrest. It works but I’d really prefer the clip on. One advantage is that I like to tape a range card on the top of the frame. The clip on will cover it.

Nice Set up! How is that Nightforce working for you? What magnification do you usually put it on? Do you guys feel the Nightforce scope compliment EDguns well? What are their advantages over SWFA models? I've been seeing more and more NF on Edguns and thinking about upgrading. Thanks, Nate

That's a tough question to answer without being subjective. For me it comes down to reliability/quality, clarity, and weight. I've owned 6 NF scopes since I moved away from Leupold. I ran them for many years, and the newer models just aren't on par with their previous generations (huge personal disappointments that I won't get into here). I went through numerous optics and disappointments until I took the plunge and got my first NF, and during that time I figured out that I liked FFP more for airgun hunting, so I kept the 4 NFs that were FFPs and offloaded the others.

Bottom line for me - my eyes aren't great and I don't like compromises. The "no questions asked" warranties offered by some of the optic vendors is great and all, but I invested in NF because I knew my chances if needing to use the warranty is slim to nil. I'm sure there's $200-300 scopes out there that will outlast their owner' grandchildren, but cost hasn't been a huge factor in my decision process.

ALL of the NF lines are top tier in quality. I would even take an SHV into combat if I needed to, they're all 👍👍👍👍

It is performing so well I decided to mount the newer Atlas on it. Pulled it from another rifle... Rock solid. This guy is more versatile than I even knew. I am really enjoying it.

Smart man! Protip - put a tiny bit of low to medium strength thread locker on the air cylinder gauge cap's threads! Otherwise, the rifle will try and rotate after the bipod has been on there for a little while.
