Leopold 45x45

will this hold together on a springer ? HW97 @ 11.6 FPE ?
I have a Leupold Competition 40X (discontinued). I used it on my TX 200 sub 12 FPE (highly tuned to minimize recoil on the scope). I just shot it and zeroed it again yesterday...No issues. I've had it on the TX for about 7 years (on and off as I rotate it with my other scopes, depending on my mood).

If you are thinking of using it for FT...I would look at other scopes. In a pinch it's a good back up scope. Some minor issues are...for me, the reticles are too thin...on a dark face plate and/or dark woods...they tend to melt into the darkness. No illuminated reticles available as far as I know.

Range finding takes some practice as it does not snap in and out of focus at the critical distances of 40-55 yards. (For example: hard to discriminate between 42 and 44 yards sometimes...from 42-44 yards every yardages looks crystal clear...I finally just decided to take the average most of the time).

Off Hand shooting at 40X...every tremor is like an earthquake. It will force you to be steadier. Just not very pleasant for me to shoot my Leupold off hand. Contrast that with my Sightron, I can dial down to 20X for off hand shots and shake/bake all I want.

Warranty is life-time. As far as I know ...no questions ask.

Edited response to #8: For Bench Rest (which was what I think the scope was designed to do) you should be ok. I assume you are going to tune your 97.
