Leshiy 2 at it again…

Got up this morning and sipping on my morning and looking out my Den window. Bouncing around my 20 yard marker are three squirrels looking for acorns. I couldn’t help myself and went to the garage and grabbed the Leshiy 2 in .30.
I have been trying some slower speeds to keep the sound down and just put on a Huma Mod50; got it shooting the 44.5 JSB’s at 704fps, which is plenty for mr.squirrel. Walked back into the den and slowly cranked open my window so not to startle the three.
Couldn’t believe that after the first one flipped over only one of the squirrels took off; the other just sat there looking at me. A quick pull of the trigger and squirrel number two down. What a nice way to start the morning!

Gotta love that DEAD silent .30 L2 effect. I have about the same setup- a tad more power, but not much, and yeah. She's quiet.

Great shots on both! The low tune definitely helped with not alarming the second one...smart tune! Nice pic.

It is incredible the large numbers we have this year. It is also the most acorns we have had in the 16 years we’ve owned our house. We’re using metal rakes to get them all because the plastic ones can’t move the mounds.
The squirrels don’t seem to care either. Since this morning we’ve had 5 or 6 more come through but they aren’t sticking around plus I had to run to the corner store to get my winning powerball ticket!!!
Now that I’m back home it will be a relaxing afternoon of sitting on the back deck and waiting patiently. The weather has been incredible in MA for the past few days; 70 degrees and up so I’m enjoying it while it lasts. Everyone have a wonderful day and be safe…

That’s a good question. I am actually waiting for the new Huma regulator to get here so I can install it and get to see if the bar variation is as small as stated. Definitely a nice addition if the consistency is there.

Sounds like a great tune for short range, quiet pesting. Yes 700 fps is plenty. I'd be curious to know how well your L2 groups at 20yd with that setup.

Had a little afternoon action and got this one climbing the tree at 22yds. And @Feinwerk the groups are incredibly consistent with a quarter size groups at 20yds and this is with the lw barrel as well. I do have the alpha barrel but felt the groups were much tighter with the lw.
