Leshiy 2 C-Clip Barrel Installation Tips

I bought a different caliber barrel for the L2 and it came with the c-clip separate from the barrel. Does anyone have tips or recommendations for installing the c-clip or a tool to assist with the install? I don't want to force it on and end up messing something up.

It would have been great if it was a snap ring clip, but the eyelets for the pliers would obviously protrude so far that you wouldn't be able to seat the barrel. Any guidance is appreciated.

They make snap ring. Pliers specifically for that style clip. You may have to pick up a set. Harbor freight will do

Unfortunately it isn't the traditional snap ring c-clip with the eyelets that you would insert the snap ring pliers into. Here is a picture of the c-clip:

I did some more digging around to identify the type of ring and I believe it is a spear end retaining ring (if it is called something different I would be interested in knowing the correct name). I ordered some of these pliers to see if I could get the clip on with the pliers below:

I'll report back if they work out.
