Hello. This is my first thread requesting assistance. While familiarizing and shooting new leshiy 2 30cal 600mm barrel, I couldn’t help but notice that the 44gr JSB(935fps as tuned from Brian) were much louder than Nielsen 47.5gr at .303” which shot closer to 900fps and with more of a thump. .300” 49.5gr Nielsens had similar profile to pellets for sound and velocity of ~915fps. Would I be correct to assume that the valve is staying open too long except for the .303” slug used and that there could be gains in efficiency in using a larger jet size combination? I haven’t disassembled to see what jets are installed, but did purchase the jet assortment to work with as I anticipated caliber/barrel length changes and wanted to work with various tunes. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

That would be my guess. The lighter pellet leaves the barrel more quickly, so needs less dwell time.
I mostly keep my jetting so that the valve closes before any of my pellets leave the barrel. So far I haven't tried to get terribly high performance out of my Leshiy 2.

Thank you. I will give that a try. May also adjust the regulator down. Very powerful for my needs as it is.
