Leshiy 2 Release to the Market. Is it too Soon?

So I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now since the release of the Leshiy 2. The original Leshiy came out IIRC sometime in 2016. A few revisions were made such as the polymer stock, new regulator and stippled pistol grip. Is 4 years too soon to come out with a totally new platform? Don't get me wrong. I'm all in and I'm definitely going to purchase one. I received my new Leshiy .22 last year in October 2019 and to this day, I'm still trying different tunes with the factory regulator and 250mm barrel. It's a fun little gun to tinker with.

I was going to place an order for a 350mm barrel and shroud in both .22 and .25cal. I was also looking at picking up an Akula moderator but now I'm thinking I should put things on hold until the Leshiy 2's release. I have not heard a definite announcement yet from Ed if he plans to discontinue the original Leshiy. If it is going to be discontinued, then parts are also not going to be available much longer.

So do you guys think that maybe a gen.3 would have been better to release? What upgrades from the factory would you have liked to see? I for one would like to have seen a revised stock with a longer heel. The factory pistol grip also needs to be at least 1/2 inch longer. Maybe a piggy back air tank from the factory would have also been cool. Just some random thoughts. I'm glad that I was able to pick an original Leshiy but I'm still looking forward to the release of the Leshiy 2.

Leshiy classic will still be sold... don’t worry. I’ll always keep mine too. Perfect bugout bag gun ;)

i think you’re off base a bit though... Leshiy 2 was born from constant customer requests. He literally checked every box. With that said, it doesn’t make the Leshiy classic any less valuable or cool... apples and oranges IMHO.

That's good to hear. If I'm being a little off base, it's because there's not that much info out there besides in Russian.

I was referring to L2 being too soon... like there should have been a transition gun or something. Maybe I read that wrong.

Wow I think that would be a huge loss as the classic Leshiy is still a great platform in and of itself LOL! In my opinion it is no where near the end of it's run haha. The new is exactly that a new platform all together with the semi auto . The choice between the 2 and the price difference would still make the classic a very viable option to some I am sure. 

A small price reduction in the classic style would be greatly appreciated haha 😉😄 Maybe 200.00 off the classic version and keep the edmu lol. The wika has got to be cheaper or one would think lol

First -- Leshiy 1 will be kept produced unitl I feel demand for it. And the demand is the same level or even more (based on the March statistic) so I have no intention to stop making it.



Second -- you never ever will be able to get "best of the best" thing as the producer is always goes forward and you should either fix the present situation and enjoy what is available now, not thinking about the futurre, or just wait all your life, having nothing in present. I prefer the first way.



Third -- Leshiy 2 and Leshiy 1 completely different platfroms and they cannot be compared directly. Thus every of them will find the place in customers arsenal.

You know, being 52 years old boy and having numbers of different women in my life, I wouldn't be so categorical regarding the age of a woman (girl). Quite often 40 years old woman is able to give one much more passion and fun than stupid young girl, who one has nothing even to talk about, not to mention the pure sex. The only prevelage of the age is the fresh meat, but in most cases it doesn't work either, just looks at the modern girls, fat, ugly, wearing trash garment and so on. So, I prefer to consider the every case separatly, not being preoccupied with the templates :) That is the difference betwern a wise man and the person who goes along the life with somebody's poop in his head :)

It's fine balance and one I could never find, lol.

I needed a sexy one when I was young but she turned out to be a crazy bitch! She exercised 1.5 hours a day and got a boob job but...

Next wife of my older years was a frumpy thing but the nicest female I've ever met. She treats me like I'm her #1 priority and serves me like a king. Hardly a day goes by I'm not appreciative of that. 

L2 is my fantasy pcp! Darn, Ed we need more than 8 shots in 177 though.
