Tuning Leshiy 2 tuning questions?

Elbow grease, what do you want in a manufacturer or a gun? Someone or something that only offers a product with no way of improvements or customizing to make it your own or to suite a specific need other than the way it comes from the factory? What about a manufacturer who offers a product and accessories that the masses can buy and make it suite their cosmetic tastes and specific needs and be able to easily change it themselves . I’ll take the second one. If you don’t want a Money Pit then shop and think good and hard and try to find that one gun that will do everything you want or need. There are plenty of choices these days but most people I believe are not satisfied with one gun, one caliber, one size or style. Just like most sports, the equipment we buy is usually adaptable with accessories to make them look the way we want them to , or go faster or to better fit the way we use them. Are they Money Pits? Sure but we go into them knowing we will be spending more money but in the end we will have what we really want or need and can call it your own. It’s in most people’s nature that is why companies offer different models and all the accessories in sports. Ed and his team probably saw somewhere along the development of the Leshiy 2 the possibilities this platform had in the market and developed the Valkyrie accessories. Those and adding a CF bottle are the only other things that is offered over the standard model so far. There is talk of another regulator with higher setting in the works and Brian has mentioned he is sourcing parts here in the US that will be a simple task to install to Tune the standard model when increasing power. I don’t expect these parts to be that expensive or necessary if your content with the standard model as is. I’m sure there will be a few more accessories From EdGun and aftermarket to come on this platform just as there were on the classic. That’s smart marketing instead of offering more models.

Look. I like EDgun stuff. I really do. I actually have a few. This is just my personal opinion on the L2 based on what I have come across here on this forum. I get the need or want to upgrade. But having nearly no adjust ability out of the box is not cool for that price point. Ill bring up the FX impact as an example, and I am in no way a fan of FX by any means but you get so much more for about the same price. Less the durability that EDgun is known for. The L2 totally comes off as a toy to me. Sure it can cause serious harm but I would not call it a serious airgun just yet. More of something that can be dressed up to look cool and be flashy. Power upgrades will be nice to see. I for some reason feel that you feel the need to defend the product just because someone put in their 0.02. Thats fine and thats what forums are for. My overall impression is that the L2 is not worth the asking price compared to other airguns out there. Not even close. I am very curious to see what the future brings and if there will be a second gen.

I am defending the product because I am one of the first 100 that got all caught up in the hype! But seriously this gun has the cool factor and everyone who I have shown it to is blown away by the quality, feel and look. That is worth the price of ownership to me. I think Ed had to get the Leshiy 2 out quicker than than he wanted. Seeing all the changes they made which held up production and ship dates. The Leshiy 2 is no more a toy than a FX impact which since its introduction has had many upgrades in its three generations and originals can be upgraded. There are things in the works that will make this new unique platform adjustable , just not In the usual ways because of the new valve design. These first guns will be able to be upgraded if one feels the need to. Mine out of the box in .22 x 350mm Is shooting 16 grain pellets in the 890fps which is right where you want it for that weight of pellet and is a starting point. But I have the need for speed in heavier pellets and slugs and am patiently waiting for the Parts and instructions on how to do it. I have serious air guns, some I call boring accurate . Most are too heavy, too long , not the best handling for a hunting rifle. I gambled on buying this Leshiy 2 without seeing one. That’s part of this sport but I am so overjoyed with everything about my rifle. I took it out for a squirrel hunt this weekend and felt I have truly got my ultimate hunting gun. My first semi-auto gun and I love it. Did a double tap on a squirrel hitting him both times. Laughed out loud in the woods. Try that with a side lever. I’m already thinking of selling some of my serious boring rifles.

@leatherman, good to hear you are so happy with your purchase, and I am waiting for mine like a majority. Also it is nice to hear that in the end the L2 is not an over complicated creature as long as you know what you are doing. On your mention of quality, that is what I continue to hear about EdGuns is the level of quality and finish of Ed’s guns.

Looking forward to hearing more about your Leshiy 2. Question, do you pack or carry the rifle from point “A” to “B”? If pack what type of set up do you use?
