Just picked up a Leshiy and saw some really nice ammo holders, but apparently no one is making them anymore. Then I saw the Gamo Swarm mags and thought "If they are like the BSA mags then they just might work". Figured for $14 I'd see. Well they are just like the BSA only plastic and with an o-ring. Remove the o-ring and you have a very inexpensive ammo holder for cheap $$. All you do is Velcro it to the frame. The spring tension keeps the pellets in the mag. Just cock the gun, lean the gun to the right side. A very slight rotation of the mag and the pellet will drop into your hand for loading.

Also there are some .177 Swarm mags in the classifieds right now pretty cheap.

Hey now. Thats a great Idea. Just curious if they work with pollymags? Thats what I have been currently feeding my Leshiy. I have seen some of those foam style pellet holders on pyramyd air just the other day. They come in various styles but I was thinking about making one to fit the leshiy better. Honestly I like your idea and will most likely be picking one of those up real soon.

This past week I was working on a ammo dispenser for my Leshiy made out of pvc. It worked but was just to bulky mounted under the scope rail. It is a pain for me while hunting to try to fish out a pellet from my pocket quickly while grey squirrel hunting. Also I don't like a bunch of loose pellets sitting in my pocket getting dirty or smashed. Ended up for now just using some foam pipe insulation on the front half of the scope rail. Thought about what you did BigTinBoat but it should be easy for someone to make a light weight and small pellet dispenser for single shot rifles like the Leshiy. Bill

Great idea Rob, I may get a mag or 2 for my .177 Leshiy but honestly only ever walk outside to shoot so I just grab a tin and bring it with.



Btw, I tried giving you some accuracy for this post but it said please spread some around before giving more to this member? Hogwash (considering I haven't given you any in a while if I ever have?)! I'll be back, gotta go spread some cheer😉

I have a tin of Polymags so just tried it. The polymags fit the magazine, but you have to do an extra step to make it work.

Once you remove the tension and the pellet drops into your hand the mag only advances 1/2 way to the next pellet. You have to turn the gun over so the pellet point is upward, take tension off the mag and it will advance to the next pellet. When ready you can then just turn sideways and release the tension and pellet will drop free.I guess the points get "stuck" on inside of mag maybe. Turning point up and releasing tension cause the pellet to drop toward the skirt taking the pressure off the point.

Well thats good enough for me. Sounds like it works with little issue. I might go ahead and get a couple of them and see if I can isolate the binding and see what I can do to fix it. From what you saying though it sounds very minor.

Found something better then the velcro, 3M Dual Lock strips. They were in my EZ-Pass. I like them better then the velcro as they hold tighter. With the velcro you can kinda slide the mag back and forth a bit. I'm sure the velcro will wear quicker too as the mag is much easier to load when removed. Each of these pieces are hard like the hook part of the Velcro fasteners, but they fit into each other.

Nice hack. I've been used the leather pellet pouches so far and it seems to work well with the hunting I've done. I still may have to give this a shot sometime since it's relatively inexpensive.

I was using a change purse with a shoe string for my springer, but I wanted something that I could operate with 1 hand and have close (knowing exactly when it is) for a follow up. With the change purse around my neck lots of times I was reaching blindly for it, while trying to keep and eye on the squirrel running thru the trees.

So I got this and right off the bat I ran into minor issues. The pellets had a tendancy to hang up when loading pellets because they would fall right through the mag out the other side.
But here is how I resolved it and now it works like a champ!

I took the mags apart and added a plastic film to cover up one side of the hole to keep the pellets from getting snagged when filling.

Now that the other hole is covered, loading the pellets are really easy!
This thing works really well!

Toku - sounds like you are loading from the "exit" side of the mag. Actually that's a great idea to put that there and you can load that way, with the mag still attached to the gun. When I tried to load with it attached (thru the exit) the pellets did fall too far into the mag, and I had to shake it to get them aligned. Without the mod it is much easier to load by taking if off.

I had a BSA Ultra so I am used to loading these mags. If you hold the mag wheel between your thumb and middle finger your index finger should wind up right in front of the hole. This is how I always did it.

Yes I tried to load it from both sides. The Exit had a higher chance of getting hung up. (Dropping it in tail first)

I have my mag mounted to the gun's picatinny rail so taking it off isn't an option. Was getting to be a real pain, having to jiggle the mag to rotate it while loading.
Now the pellet just drops in and rotates just fine. I'm loving this! Wish it could hold more pellets. I'll probably end up mounting 2 of these onto my scope.
