Leshiy classic... hammer spring issue?

I successfully replaced all the o-rings and upgraded the gauge to the meazy after breaking the previous one. Holds air... my tune probably isn't the best but it's minute of chipmunk again and I'm off to the races! Except...

When I leave leshiy folded for more than a few hours, the next shot is very low powered. As in... shooting 3-4 inches lower at 30 yd. I thought I finally had my girl on her feet and now this 🫣

Anyone have any experience with this? Other people seem store theirs cocked with no issues but maybe 5 years of use has changed some things

I only store my Classics folded when I'm hiking so not sure I have any input on that part.

However, when mine are set up with a short dwell tune there have been times where the first shot is slow & low. It's my understanding this is due to regulator creep & the low sprung hammer just can't open the valve very much.

3+ inches low seems excessive, however. The only time I saw that was with a brand new regulator. It took dozens of shots before the trajectory came up. That was also a low dwell tune, IIRC.

Do you know your regulator setting? # of HST clicks?

Sorry, son was talking to me. Meant to type more.

Have you confirmed your Leshiy doesn't do this when it sits for the same period of time but unfolded?

Also, took a look in your profile & found recent post saying 125 bar on regulator & 12-13 HST clicks. Granted every regulator & spring is different but that is almost certainly a short dwell tune. I suspect a bit of regulator creep.

Try letting it sit unfolded & un-cocked & see if it still shoots low.

Thankyou scouty... i didnt want to bother brian on a sunday lol. I ended up going up to 15 clicks to get a little better consistency. Too low it would pull shots left... maybe a dwell time issue, dunno.

I have not had any noticeable effect if left uncocked... but ill try a few more tests today and tommorow. The reg is brand new. Do these take a break in period? it's a huma with power plenum... there was a screw to slow regulator fill I think... I didn't install it.

I only had that issue with one new regulator & it's likely I just had my HST too low. I didn't have a chronograph back then so I was being cautious.

Are you saying the brass screw on top of your Huma was included but not installed? I received a used one in a parts package that had that screw nearly backed all the way out now that I think about it. Don't believe I have ever used it.

What are your goals for power with this Leshiy? There is probably a regulator setting that will give good power at ~95% of first velocity peak but also allow you to turn down HST for a quieter, lower powered backyard tune.
