Hello All, hope this is the right place to post my question, seems like it. Anyway just got my Leshiy2 and it has a leak. Never even shot it. Filled it once to confirm it was indeed leaking, at higher bar it leaks faster (about 15-20bar in 4 hours at a start of 265bar) and slower at a lower pressure (10-15 bar a day at 150bar). so far the only thing I've tried is locking down the bleed screw, figured I better ask a few questions before I go taking things apart. Anyone else have leaks? Where is the most likely place for this leak on this gun and how would you go about fixing it? Thanks guys.

Isolate the leak using soapy water. The below may help. Don’t take anything apart till you know where the leak is coming from.

Is the leak coming out of the bleeder grub screw area? If so, there was someone else that had the same thing and I do believe they solved it. Its all in the big L2 thread. Good luck. I hate that you have to deal with that on a used car priced airgun, but $hit happens.

I would look at the fill port or the cylinder bleed screw. Gauges are another common leak point, either through their housing and weep hole or at their threads which is harder to get to.
For the fill port, sometimes you can put a couple of drops of silicone oil into the air inlet or fill adapter and use your compressor or hand pump to blow it past the ball check valve to hopefully dislodge any tiny grit that might be preventing the ball from seating all the way.
To search for and positively locate your leak, you want a dab on bubbling solution. You can make your own with dishwashing liquid, approximately one part dishwashing liquid and maybe three or four parts of water. Dab this on various places and look for bubbles. You can also buy Oatey bubble solution for leak detecting off the shelf at the home store.

You don't say in your post if the gun is new or used but I am assuming it is new. If you still have not shot it yet, take it out and shoot 20 to 50 pellets through it. It could just be a small piece of trash in the valve that will clear itself with a few shot cycles. If that doesn't help and you bought the gun new, call whoever you bought it from and ask them how they want you to proceed with the defective merchandise they sold you.

if you just got it and it's under warranty, send it back, you should not have to fix a brand new gun.....

Thank you everyone for the replies, This is a brand new gun so I will be contacting Edgun to see how they handle this. Hopefully they can walk me through some fixes so I can learn something and not have the hassle and time waiting to send it back. I will post back up here when they reply just in case anyone else has issues. On a side note, how often does this happen?, and does anyone have experience with getting things fixed by Edgun? How is Edgun when it comes to customer service?

Called today, Brain answered, the solution so far has been to fully degas then refill. He said sometimes the bleed screw doesn't set right when he's putting them together (hope I'm quoting him correctly). but I did fire one mag thru before degassing because the advice made sense, refilled to 265, within 10 min it was at 260, but it has stayed there since. Overnight will be the test. Thanks again guys.

well 3 days and down 30+ bar so I guess I will be calling him back. I suspect it may be from around the gauge but we'll see what he says

Hi,
Yes, I have had a leak on my L2, testing with soapy water shows it is coming from around the gauge. Just waiting for some circlip pliers so that I can disassemble the gauge as per the video from Brian. Hopefully it will just need a little tightening.

Just as a follow up. Disassembled the gauge housing and found the gauge loose. reseated the O ring (part 25 above) in its housing (part 4) and tightened up the gauge (part 17).

I got a hold of Brain on the phone after testing my possible leak spots with leak detector similar to the one above. Told him where I found leak (gauge), he told me how to fix it and sent me the part. Filled it, and it was still leaking. Fired a few shots, set it down came back to the gauge not having moved. So it seems, after swapping out gauges and refilling, you need to fire the gun in order for the seals to set right? I am still new to this so I will be asking more questions next time I talk to him. so far I really appreciate his level of customer service the videos are a big help.

Hello, thread is old but these steps helped with my L2 so wanted to post my fix. Received it about a week ago and had a slow leak similar to PewPew28. Used the leak detector liquid and found the leak was the bleed screw as Feinwerk suggested.Gave it a little snug using a 2.5mm hex and bubbles went away. It's been holding 300bar for over 24hrs. Thank you
