Less than a tin of pellets....

I have about 4 low milage guns. my earliest ones were springers cause pumps were to slow on second shots. I had a 3 acre property and too many squirrels and other pests. now I don't have that property and I don't have the time but I was able to get 3 FX rifles a new Diana & won a contest for a HW97 black line .177,Fired once to insure it functioned and haven't mounted the scope yet. It's been at least a year. I want to try it on some squirrels but I just had to cut down my monster cottonwood squirrel tree. No squirrels.

Since airguns are not really available to look at and shoot and feel I can see selling without a tin of pellets thru it. I bought a PP700 and realized the first shot it was too loud. I wouldn't think I have over a hundred pellets thru it. Also a ten meter single stroke pneumatic I have had it for several years. I don't think there is any way its seen a tin. I hate listing and selling. everyone is different. If a guy thinks he needs to lie to sell a BB gun he is a low life for sure. I still say I wish a store would rent PCP's that would be great. Most of the time you know within the first few hours after setting it up.

I've owned many guns that I've shot less than a tin through. I'd say it's rare to have a gun that I actually shot a tin through. But that's just me. I've owned alot but don't have much time to shoot especially now. If I shoot 50 pellets in a day that's alot!! Plus maybe do that once a week if that. Sometimes go through a few weeks without shooting. Id say I go through 2-3 tins a year.

I don’t think I have ever had a gun that I haven’t shot at least a tin through over the crony before I even shot at a target with it. I go through several tins a week. I don’t smoke or drink, but I sure have it bad for pellets. So it’s hard for me to imagine having a safe-queen or an unused gun. I feel bad for those who don’t have the time or a place to shoot whenever they please.

Me too. That said, a chrony is the least of my worries, for better or worse. I am going to try to adjust to my guns as is and learn the basics of this hobby much much better before I try to min/max my results. Let me learn a lot more about scopes, for instance. I may get to be a real technical guy at some point, but I find this hobby surprisingly deep, with plenty to learn even before I get to the point that experienced hands consider basic and entry-level knowledge.
