If you're going to handpump then it's best to choose guns that are well suited to it and those are low pressure, small caliber guns that are very efficient. Basically, you want to do as little work per shot as possible. Pumping up to 4500 psi is hard work and bigger pellets use more air for every shot. Pumping up scuba tanks with a hand pump is ridiculous. Sure it's possible and they can take a picture of it, but no one's ever going to actually do it.
I've got three handpumps, but I rarely ever use them. Decades ago, when I first got into PCP's I got a Hill pump. It was a tough, solid pump and I used it without issue to fill my S410E for about a year, but I also happened to get into scuba diving at about that time and pretty soon I had plenty of scuba tanks to fill from. At some point the gauge on it was broken and then I ended up using its fill hose on a scuba tank and the pump got tucked away somewhere and then was forgotten about for decades.
Then at some point I became somewhat obsessed with the idea of a backpacking air rifle and ultimately I decided that the best choice for that was a lightweight PCP combined with a lightweight hand pump and there's only one of those that I am aware of. So I bought a Huben pump and IMO, it's a fantastic pump. It's less than half the weight of most pumps and it pumps up to 5000 psi. It's also not cheap.
Then I bought a used rifle and the deal included a hand pump. It's one of the $50 Amazon variety and it seems to work just fine. They also seem to have a pretty good reputation here and if I were on a budget it would be my choice. They have a variety of names, Four Uncles, Vevor, I'm just going by memory, but I've never heard anyone say any of them suck.
Ultimately, if you stay interested in airguns you're almost certainly going to end up getting a compressor, a SCBA tank or both.
