Lets see some gun rests

Of coarse homemade is better mine is aluminum and weighs 3lb 3oz ive pretty much custom made a rest for every gun from around 20 pound steel to ultralight aluminum. I prefer the light weight now days. Front and rear suppert are made to fit exact gun and leather wraped. This one i just finished today

Sometimes I buy nice things, sometimes I repurpose scraps since I'm such a pack rat.
This is made from scrap wood. The vertical piece swivels.
I actually like it better than a bag. The wood base slides easy on the table, I can move it fore/aft under the gun easily.
Perfect for 30 yard sparrow hunting.

Just a very few parts from Amazon and the rest I made myself.
I have couple of small linear rail leftovers from my other projects, I just could not decide for the swivel/ball head and mounting.
I have a rear mechanical rest, but seeing benefits moving the mechanism to the front.
Never know until trying out all possible scenarios :)

Before the coaxial rest, I always shot with an adjustable rear rest and a standard front bipod. (F class Remple). Knowing what I know now, a coaxial front rest is the best and most accurate way to shoot benchrest. But never could afford a professional $2000 custom metal coaxial rest. Once you try it, you will never go back!

I am OK-ish with my two piece BR setup for both airguns and W308, but for long range f-class no rear mechanical rests allowed .... I am missing the joystick if I could rebuild reasonably my Remple :)
I tried to convert my Remple to an coaxial and using the same 3d print files. I added a picatinny on the bottom and a modified picatinny clap on top. It wasn't stable and sort of "janky" looking.
