Let's see those 2240 builds!

My back packer version, Notos air tank and regulator. Made an adapter for AEA challenger folding stock adapter. Multi shot breech and tensioned/shrouded barrel.

Man, that build is amazing. How your used so many different parts from other airguns. I've been dreaming of something just like this to carry in a backpack with me when I go deer hunting to take out and use for squirrels from time to time. Thumbs up all the way.
Thx

Thanks, that air tank came from my Notos that I converted to bottle, this was my truck gun for when deer hunting and I see some small game like this grouse.
Now I can carry this in my pack when still hunting.

Thanks Gunny, the USN give me a lot of machinist training, later I learned CNC programing after I got out.
Same here, marines taught me to fix helicopters, later did hotrod's and engines, moved to hydraulics, now in a different field all together. Only wrenches I turn are on my hobbies and honey do lists. Got a laithe not to long ago and it not only keeps me entertained with my hobbies, but also builds things for around the home. Got to tinker with this little bad boy again today. Going in with a custom hammer, valve mods, and 3000 psi bolts. On the back burner till next weekend. Aiming for 2 mags.

Yup, I worked on E2C's Hawkeyes and C2 cargo planes with T56 turboshaft engines, below is my 1st airgun I mod when I was stationed in NAS Cubi Point PI. This was a local version of the crosman 160 that I made into pistol.

Genob, that is even cooler than the other build. Wonder if you realize this build looks almost identical to a Remington XP700 bolt action pistol from back in the day?? Dang that is sweet. I almost hate to ask, but you got any more airgun homebuilt goodies you care to share pictures of? You are most talented for sure.

Yes it is, I have a lot of PB hand cannon I call it. XP700 in 7mmBR and 22PPC. I also have a custom one made by the late Melvin Forbes in 7mm/3000. This one he made to my specs and later he did offer a few more hand guns, but he was very famous for his accurate light weight riffles.

Not a 2240 but a 2260 stock with an adjustable cheek comb.

I let a pro cut it for $25—he wanted $15 but…—-while I’m doing the drilling and hardware stuff.

Takes forever to measure and drill it ‘cuz every planned hole is at an angle and should be leveled.

Installed the OD-reduced and polished rod.

Slowly getting there 🥸

I ordered another 2260 stock from a particular seller (NLA from Crosman) for another project. Boyd’s has nice ones but with dismal fit for the action, IMHO.

I’ll have it sliced for a slimmer cheek comb and may do a dual post, we’ll see.

Thanks for the like, airgunner53 sir 👍

Up close. I used a smaller drill bit than the rod and just honed it to fit. It doesn’t even need the screw to secure it; very solid and tight. The O-rings are there to hide the hole rim, although I was able to drill it really clean.

It’s a cheap mod, B sir, not even $50 was spent 👍

It elevates to about 35mm (ideal for the PROD action with its high breech) but could go more if I change the rod.

Another 2260 stock (brand new), but this one has a much slimmer grip and a much better finish; no defects of any kind.

It was handpicked for me by the seller upon my request.

I’d like to accoutre this one with an adjustable comb as well, but I’m definitely having 2nd thoughts lest I ruin the finish

Building another one but waiting for some parts.

I don’t have a brass-festooned Crosman in the US (have some in my native land), so I’m constructing one.

My 1st time to order from Fenton SS in the UK but they do have nice reviews——and they’re very affordable…More so if you buy a pack in lieu of individual parts. I paid a measly $61 including shipping, a bargain, truly :coffee:

Surprisingly, I ordered them last Monday, 2 days ago, and now my items are already out of the UK based on the Royal Mail tracking system (y)

I do believe it’ll take a slumber at the US Customs, so I dunno if it will take a week or 2 or more to reach my doorsteps 🥴

Oh, I tried to order 22xx silencer adapters from the store too but it wouldn’t let me; it automatically gets removed from the cart or something like that

Too bad ‘cuz they’re really cheap at $9.00 each…Have a couple of those (they’re popularly known as Gun Tuff, somewhat generic ) in my native country, and the quality, fit, and finish are great..I do have metal caps machined for them in either brass or stainless; very cheap over there, and I have countless machinist friends who’d do them for a snack 😂
