Let's see those 2240 builds!

My first 1377 rebuild.

Building another one but waiting for some parts.

I don’t have a brass-festooned Crosman in the US (have some in my native land), so I’m constructing one.

My 1st time to order from Fenton SS in the UK but they do have nice reviews——and they’re very affordable…More so if you buy a pack in lieu of individual parts. I paid a measly $61 including shipping, a bargain, truly :coffee:

Surprisingly, I ordered them last Monday, 2 days ago, and now my items are already out of the UK based on the Royal Mail tracking system (y)

I do believe it’ll take a slumber at the US Customs, so I dunno if it will take a week or 2 or more to reach my doorsteps 🥴

Ordered on the 10th, shipped on the 11th, landed in LA on the 13th, stayed at US Customs for a day, now it’s on its way to Abq.

If I do get them on Monday that’s just 7 days all the way from the UK…and to repeat, I only paid $61 (or was it $62?), Royal Mail with tracking included :coffee:

I do remember receiving a set of Sportsmatch rings from the UK in less than a week from the time I ordered it 👍

Just finished this one up. Custom tube i made from a cut down fortitude tube i had used the rear section on another build. It's a bit longer than a 2400 tube.

Uses a disco valve. Prod trigger and magnum airpower poly core hammer. Made a breech riser from aluminum. Cut a 2240 barrel down to 6" and has a Prod air stripper and a couple small baffles. Decently quiet when around 10 fpe, but it barks when cranked up. 20 fpe out of a 6 inch barrel is going to be loud lol.

Zebrawood sport grips from Alchemy Airwerks. David makes some damn good parts. These grips fit the frame with zero wiggle like some others I've had. I just need to put the extended stainless probe in it and it'll be 100%.

I don't know if I've posted this in here before. This was my attempt at making a target PCP pistol a few years back. 200 cc CF tank, 12" Lothar barrel, modular valve system, home made multi shot action w BRK style bolt handle. This was my 1st attempt at blind inletting, 1 screw under the grip some I could keep trimming it for comfort.

Simply awesome! I'd love a grip and breech if you'd be interested in making any more. No pressure! 😎

Nice grips 👍

They're from the same company that used to supply Crosman's Custom Shop:

I think their website is under construction, so you cannot purchase a pair online, but orders via phone are accepted, AFAIK.

The brass parts from the UK arrived today.

Super shiny even though I haven’t polished them yet 👍

I talked to this lady a few hours ago and I was told they do take orders by phone…or you can send her an email.

I forgot to ask her about the shipping fee though but I sent her an email; I’ll post it here.

I’m looking at the Target and the Sportsman R/H in walnut because Vernon Austin, mi paborito grips maker, hasn’t gotten back to me, so I think he’s truly retired. I have about 10 pcs. (?) of assorted items from him.

Another source of parts is Pinkney Engineering in the UK, although they don’t ship to the US.

They have muzzle brakes and silencer adapters for the 11.05 mm Crosman barrel, which are superbly lathed:

So, my order went thru though but they refunded me a few minutes later, darn, so I just let a good shooting bud of mine over there purchase bits for me for evaluation.

Upon receiving them in 2 days via UPS, I felt regret not ordering at least 2 Crosman silencer adapters as they are really beautifully made parts and no way inferior to Rowan’s.

These are for the AA S400, mind you, and so much cheaper than Rowan’s, but you get the point.

Brass and stainless really go well together, and I did give the screws my signature debur and polish for it’s not enough that they’re stainless or brass—-they’re rough and ugly as is and I’m a perfectionist 🤗

Ordered some 1911 grips for my latest C02 22xx SS and brass build.

They’ll be attached via Blue Fork 1911 Crosman grip panels; bought his last pair over a year ago.

It really is an ingenious design and very well crafted with no mill marks. Corners and cuts are precisely executed as well 👍

Having them powdercoated in silver-grey along with the grip frame to maintain the SS motif 👍
