Nope, it is the number made, mine is number 28, all 30 are .20 cals. There was also a similar build of D54's.

I've been trying to find out how many were made. I've asked about production numbers on two UK forums, but so far, nothing definitive, and Diana won't respond to my inquiries. If anyone knows the answer, kindly post or PM me.

I recently bought this Sport 1000 model 34. The spring in it was broken in 6 pieces. I just installed Vorteks OEM replacement spring and Moly impregnated seal using leftover Vortek tune kit tar/grease on the spring and Walther piston grease on the piston. It shoots really nice and smooth with light cocking effort. The spring came set so it was super easy to install. It’s only had a few shots over the chronograph, 4 shots in a row at 768 with 8.8 FTTs. I thought a had a miracle springer or a broken chronograph, but then it dropped to 759 on the next shot. Still very consistent for a tune with maybe 30 shots fired. It’s a tack driver and my new favorite plinker.

Guys I'm seeing some super nice 34s...one regret I have was not buying a 34 premium when aoa had them . I'm also a big fan of the model 36 which I always saw in the cabelas catalog back in the day.

I have a model 36, basically just a deluxe 34 with a nicer stock.

With it removed the barrel is only partially blued abateing just in to the weight. Has rose colored hue. I plan on sleeving when I figure where to source the material.

If Umarex will sell you one, you might consider a M48 OEM barrel sleeve, works like a charm -
