We hunt a large industrialized dairy farm and most of our shots are pretty high. We both use Primos trigger stick tripods and when they are at full extension they are not tall enough to rest our rifles on while standing. So we improvised and added an 8” tall extension on top of the tripod and now we don’t have to hunch over for some of our shots.

I also added a clip-on, no fasteners, shelf to hold a tin of pellets and mags while we are reloading.

I use a repurposed bottle jack fitted with a plastic (weather proof) top made from a cutting board as an adjustable rear bag support.

Works great.

Hmmm, two jackstands with such a topper would work, too. Good suggestion!

In the field, you might be able to use a hitch receiver-mounted device that extends back a foot and also has height adjustments. Extend-A-Bed kind of stuff.
