I hear ya.
If it was not for my friends place i would have no place to shoot, and you cant really go to any public land here and do so, CUZ it is such a small overrun place.
But using google maps i have found a few candidates in case my friend die again ( he had a multitude of heart attacks within minutes a decade or so ago )
There are no ranges here, there are clubs but it will be frowned upon if you sit down and occupy a lane half a day like i do when i really shoot.
So the only real option is private land, and that is also a option, like Viking airgunner ( youtube ) he had a few places in the time i have known him.
So it is possible, though i have no idea where to ask, i suppose i could take a ad out in poop kickers digest here

. I assume it's an outdoor shooting range somewhere, a shooting club perhaps? What's the farthest distance you can shoot there? If I zoom in, I can see targets going up the hill on this small road to the right. Jeez. Last edited:

880 yards. Although I have not gone much beyond 550. It's on Indian reservation land in Pala CA. Starting a the 200 yard line it is mostly steel. When i first started there i started shooting the small steel silhouettes on the right side for .22 to 100 yards. Then somehow I caught the bug to shoot longer distances.Wow, perfect setup! I'd even call it a "shooter's dream"

Even at 10 yards the distance does not matter as long as you have fun and it keeps challenging you!880 yard, very cool

The S510 up to bat for a session on my backyard range. The main lane is 55 yards and the secondary is 128 yards.
The TX200 is mostly used off-hand to harass the spinners and knock-down targets on the main lane.

In the 80’s in the UK I had permission to shoot on a small farm of 18 acres in Staffordshire. It was a mixture of sheep grazed hillside and woodland set in a curving narrow valley. The elderly owner would allow me to shoot and then she’d insist I sit down for a cup of tea with her. It was a great spot to shoot.

Well of course.
I have now gotten several invitations to get coffee at other elderly people living where my mother do, i have kindly turned those down CUZ i only drink 1 cup in the morning.
But it is only 2 days ago since i offered one of the little old ladies a ride home with her shopping, but she preferred to walk in the nice weather, which i also understand and after all it is just a few 100 M of walking.
