Let's talk fitness. Yes - it matters. What are you doing to stay in shape?

I commend all who are aware of their level of fitness, you know I take a ton of care in mine. I feel especially men who are 30 or older its an imperative part of staying a man. We have a role in life as men to be strong, fit, and ready for what's thrown our way.

When the weight of the world is on your shoulders, lift it.
Why men only?? Women need to be fit and strong also. And versed in primitive weapon use.

If the SHTF for real, people will need help from as many as possible. Eliminating 50% of the population from
participation won’t cut it. And sorry, not all women would contribute best by nurturing others; some would be most suited as warriors. Some men would better contribute in so-called female jobs. It’s a matter of both physical and psychological aptitudes.

Nowhere did I make a comment about women , I spoke my piece about men solely. I did not say women shouldn't. However men and women were not created equal in terms of strength, fitness, etc. Which we are specifically talking about here.

The bold part may be true but that's a groomed thing, over time that's what became of catering to everyone's weakness not making everyone strong.

Our ancestors would never allow that. Our ancestors are not people I'd want to mess with.
 
I'll be 76 years old in two months. I go to the gym 3 times a week and do weight training. I can still bench 200 lbs for a rep or two. The benefits of weight training are many, improved balance, bone density, weight control, endurance, lung capacity, heart health, and the list goes on. There are days that I really don't feel like going, but when I get home, I have never once regretted having gone. The bottom line is that it helps you to continue doing the things that you enjoy.

I think what he meant by that is that if SHTF and you're way out of shape, you'll be one of the first to die. And that definitely resonates with me. To be honest, I used to be way overweight. Not only was I physically unfit, but I was in a bad place mentally with a bad job, loser girlfriend, and just generally unhappy about 7 years ago. I got rid of the loser girlfriend, quit my sh1tty job, went back to classes to get a PMP certification, and most importantly - GOT IN SHAPE. Or at least started getting in shape. I feel like I have a lot more work to do, but I realize the power is fully within myself (and also in you) to change the negative things about life to create a more positive and healthy existence both physically and mentally. Since then I have vastly improved my physical and mental health, and also my wealth, by investing in myself.

I tried to inspire anyone with 20 seconds to spare via a short I made today:

I do 10 miles per day on an old 1980's Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike every day before work. I hated it at first. Had to start with only 2 miles, then 3, then stepped it up to 5, then finally 10. It takes me about 35 minutes every morning to complete the 10 miles while I watch Youtube videos. It has become a ritual, and honestly I will not let myself miss a day - even if I'm sick or whatever. Since I began doing it I've lost like 50 or 60 lbs. In a very real way, that Schwinn Airdyne bike that I garbage picked has turned my life around. I also try and do 50 situps every other day and 100 pushups every other day on rotation. I also have about a 90lb curlbar that I use a lot while watching TV. I think those things, mixed with an active lifestyle including playing hardcore paintball every other weekend or so has done a lot to keep me in decent shape. And, yes, being in decent shape makes you a better shooter 100% - this is not debatable.

What are some things you guys are doing to stay in shape or get fit? Is this something you think about? If not, you should. You have the power to create a healthier you! Stay positive and believe in yourself, kings! 👑👑👑

This is getting off topic, but I have to disagree with you on the grooming of men. Some men are naturally nurturing and excel at supporting people of both genders in many ways. It’s a shame their true strengths that are especially needed in times of difficulty get ridiculed or treated as less worthy than stereotypical male traits.

Likewise, some women are natural leaders or tough negotiators or, yes, physically very strong. It’s a shame those strengths earn them disrespect, scorn, or outright hostility—just because they occur in a woman or girl.

Girls get “groomed”, too.

Let individuals develop their own true strengths instead of forcing square pegs to fit round holes (or vice versa).
