I pay a lot of respect to the Rapid platform. Powerful (within reason), accurate, and very simple to maintain. “UK overbuilt” describes them best for me. I treasure mine in 25 cal.

Speaking of Theobens...I ran across this old target in a tool box I have in storage...This group was from the "first day shoot" of my ex Rapid 12 .20 as it has a new home now...a happy new owner I might add...19 years ago this July 4th. My young engineer buddy out shot me that day...think it was the first time he ever pulled the trigger on any gun...how embarrassing! I got David Slade to sign it during one of my visits to his shop...I witnessed the group and David was the Theoben importer in those days...I think it's embarrassingly obvious the airgun industry hasn't evolved very far in 19 years...sub half inch @ 50 Yd out of the box BY A ROOKIE SHOOTER! I was there.
