What happened to the VX-2 Rimfire EFR scope series with objective adjustments (parallax)? I thought this was a very popular scope. Now i can find only rimfire scopes with fixed objectives called Freedom. Anyone have a reason why Leupold did this? Low sales? Poor quality?

No idea. I have a 3x9 ultralight and VX2 4x12 both with AO. I noticed when considering having custom shop make me one in an anodized color they don't offer either of these now.

the only close-focusing scope they currently make is the vx-3i 6.5-20 efr and list price is $909.

Leupold Discontinued those due to low sales volume. The Freedom line is new for 2018 and replaces the VX-1 and VX-2 models. They released 10 or so to start and more will be released at the NRA show then a few more by fall but I don't think they have plans for an EFR at this time. They still do a fixed power rimfire scope 4x28 but not the same thing. I do know there is a few still out there and might be able to get one yet.
