My HW110 likes the JSB 10.34 pellet but I’m now seeing several manufacturers of 10 grain 177 slugs. Curious if any others have tried them in 12 fpe guns and can comment on their experience. Accuracy? Get any mushrooming on game?
There are slugs made in the UK specifically for 12FPE guns called MAKO slugs. They are used by some professional hunters for vermin control and have huge expansion at 12 FPE energies and ranges. Slugs will always have a much higher BC than pellets, which is an advantage in UK weather. The main disadvantage for the MAKO slugs is that they need to be loaded from a single shot tray to make sure they go into the barrel straight.
Interesting. That's the lightest .177 slug I've ever seen. At $0.10/shot they better do everything except pull the triggerNew one for you to test:

Varmint knockers will expand as low as 600fps if not lower. They have a very deep hollow cavity. You can get them on ebay from varmint knockers. My HW110 likes the JSB 10.34 pellet but I’m now seeing several manufacturers of 10 grain 177 slugs. depends on the brand pellet and brand slug. Nielsen slugs are the same price as JSB pellets in .177. I take that back the JSB would be just a little cheaper when you factor in the buy 3 tins get 4th free.Slugs are more expensive than pellets
I live in the uk, Nielsen are a bit pricey heredepends on the brand pellet and brand slug. Nielsen slugs are the same price as JSB pellets in .177. I take that back the JSB would be just a little cheaper when you factor in the buy 3 tins get 4th free.
