lightweight small profile lpvo?

im asking all members for any and all recommendations for what the post title says. forgiving eye relief and bright image would be great too. there’s simply too much on the internet and i know that nothing beats eyes on optics experience. 1x-7x, 2x-7x, or anything up to 8x would be great. you guys can just start posting your recommendations and i can look into them. anything under $100 would be great since this is only for a sub 35fpe airgun i dont plan on shooting past 120 yards. thanks!

I see the concept of forgiving eye relief referred to a few different ways so it's hard to give advice.

I think most of the time people say this they actually mean eye box, or how easy it is to get centered & comfortable behind a scope. Meaning if their eye position moves left-right or up-down or any angle in between they don't get shadows or tunneling.

Is this what you mean?

Regardless, the best inexpensive 2-7 scope I've used is the Hawke Vantage 2-7x32.

The best eye box & longest eye relief of any inexpensive scope in this magnification range I've used is the Konus AS34 2-6x30. However, even when discounted at online retailers it is over $100.

I've also tried a few different inexpensive LPVOs. All 1-6x24 & one 1-5x24.

what/how were1-6 and 1-5?

that exactly what i mean by easy eye relief

Okay. That really helps. Instead of forgiving eye relief what you really want is a forgiving eye box.

Do you want side focus or a front adjustable objective?

Do you have a strong need for 1x magnification?

Back the the two, 2x magnification scopes I mentioned in my first reply.

As I recall the Konus has the more forgiving eye box but lacks front AO or side focus adjustment.

The Hawke has the front adjustable objective (AO) and by no means has a terrible eye box.

Can you list some scopes you've tried that had an unforgiving eye box?

i have an old made in japan valor luma glo 3-9x. i think it’s tasco. it’s light weight, eye box is comfy but my only gripes are that it’s around 12” long and has crosshair style reticle. mil dots would be nice.
i’ve also tried a 2-7x ncstar carry handle mounted on an m4 but didn’t like that the eye box was so little.
i have another3-9x 12” scope that’s perfect and has a rectangular objective view but is too heavy for my liking.
i don’t particularly care for 1x or even 9x, i just want light weight short profile easy target acquisition with clear image. i was even considering a 3x or 5x monstrum prism but i don’t know if monstrum can properly hold a zero. i’m not the gentlest with these things.

I have both models of Monstrum 3x prism & both are dot in circle reticles. I do not recall the drop in mils from dot to circle but as I recall it was too much for my backyard use.

One of mine lives on my son's airsoft & the other doesn't work for me on any of my airguns due the short eye relief.

Konus & Vector make budget 3x prism scopes that might have better reticle options.

I'm not sure what to suggest. Sounds like the Hawke Vantage will be longer than you want.

I have a special run Leupold that I will never sell. I think its 1.5-4x with click turrets and it weighs like 9-10oz. It works well up close at the lower zoom, but things get fuzzy at full zoom.
@MongooseV8 I'd suspect that the scope's front lense needs adjusted to clear up the focus when on high power. This may be something that the factory at Leopold would do under lifetime warranty by sending it into them. Alternatively, there are a few YouTube videos on how to adjust the front lense of the scope to bring in focus and parallax.

I adjusted the parallax on a Leupold 2-7x33 Rimfire MOA & it's really simple. As I recall I went from 60 yards to ~35 yards.

Unfortunately the Leupold Custom Shop has permanently closed last I heard so I don't believe they will do it.

I guess my post came off as a critique of the Leupold. But I was just trying to convey it can be used under 10yards even though it has a fixed parallax of much further. Its a perfect scope and I dont have any need to screw with it. I have it mounted to my little 6lb 243 but I wish I bought more of them when midway had them for sale.
