Lil Foot Didn't Make It...

I got a ton of use out of my shoe box before I sold it and got a coltri mch6
Back in the day when the shoebox was the only game in town...
Brings back memories of setting an alarm to remind me to stop and lubricate that thing. We've since moved on, but I have two of those in pieces in the bone pile. I have a really hard time making myself get rid of them, I'm thinking some day I'll tinker with them, and possibly convert them to helium booster pumps or something :')

Mine did not make as well.
It had less than 15 hours of use.

Had it for almost 6 months of use filling a 580 cc tank on my pcp.
Recently got my second pcp with a 480cc tank and start using the compressor more often (about 4 times a week, instead of once a week), and it only lasted 2 weeks of moderate use.
Kept very close look on the temperature and time of use.
Only let if run for 20 minutes and always under 140ºF. Let it cool off for 10 minutes before running it again.
Kept well lubricated with the silicone oil (one drop each fill) and bleed it (bottom screw) also with every fill.

Took the compressor apart and found the problem, the shaft broke off and make a noticeable dent on the housing.
I will order the parts on AE, try to straighten the housing with a mallet and rebuild it to keep it as a backup.

Got the GX Pump CS4-I today and hope this one last longer.
Can’t afford a better compressor and also the shipping and import fees are way too expensive.
