This barrel seems awfully close to some of LW's .215x.221 . Think it would work for slugs.?

I have a .177 Lilja 3 groove bull barrel on a USFT. I can't speak for slugs but with pellets it's astonishing!

Lilja barrels are excellent I don't why you won't get excellent results with slugs. I'm sure in swaged or cast slugs someone can make you your slugs . I cast for.big bores. I cast oversize and then size down to bore diameter. Can't see any problems easy to size lead down. Probably buy Nilsson slugs and size down if needed. Hope this helps

If you can find some .221 slugs you may be in business. I would not expect any over the counter .217-.219 to do well. Well is a very subjective term, though.

Just curious as to the planned finished OD of the barrel. Matching the factory barrel?
I have no idea if it would work, but I would like to see how accurate and consistent a Krieger or Lilja barrel with a solid carbon fiber wrap (I.E. Proof Research / Carbon 6 etc) on it that matches the OD of the shroud on the intended gun or even LARGER in OD if it would fit. No shroud, just a naked barrel.
Not sure if an aluminum receiver with a heavy barrel out front would work ....but if it did the results should be impressive. I have seen multiple 5 shot groups in the teens at 100 yards to just under 1/4 MOA with a Krieger barrel on a 22-250 AI powder burner.

I'm going no shroud & full diameter as it comes on a bull no taper & have it machined to tight tolerance to orings in frame area only. if they will do it. Lilja looks set up to do about anything . I call tommorrow & see what they can do. I do see they list .177 airgun barrels. But I'm only intrested in 100 yard gig. I have really no reason to do this as my ghost .30 is highly accurate as is, but something fun to try.

Went a different route. I couldn't get along with Ghost trigger. I'm having Lilja do a .177 barrel for a RAW BM500x action instead. Just waiting on a few more data points, Twist/Groove combo I want use.for given ammo to place order. They have
Twist & groove options are17-4G , 26-3G , 32-3G & 40-4G
Barrel length up to 27"
Bore is .173
Groove is .178
