List what screws it's OK to Blue Loctite on Crown?

When changing out my 22 barrel and probe on my Crown I noted that the prob screw was crazy loose and don't want visible or hidden screws to back out ever again.

What screws it is OK to use blue loctite on and no need for discussing what ones to leave completely alone from with any form of loctite on them to keep the suggestions simple

Thanks

…don’t want visible or hidden screws to back out ever again.

If that were my goal—and sometimes it is—I would apply it to every fastener. I mean, we can help identify ones that are notorious for working loose but no one can offer any sort of assurances that others will not.

By every fastener I mean all except those that have the potential to cause some kind of contamination issue. An example of that would be where it has the potential to get on an O-ring (methacrylate threadlockers will aggressively attack almost every O-ring compound). Another example is threaded connections in proximity to small orifices in a regulator or its valve seat…somewhere a crusty pill of cured threadlocker can crumble away and cause trouble.

Bear in mind, too, that you can apply a miserly amount to a fastener to get just a little assist from backing out, so you can easily remove it later. Apply generously only to fasteners known to be a problem or those with a good quality drive that you can confidently apply the torque needed to remove them later.

There are very few fasteners on a PCP rifle that should ever need any type of thread locking compound. The general nature of the type that might need it, a very small fastener that, due to its size cannot accept much torque, but is subject to vibration or jarring movement. Some triggers have very small adjustment screws that can't be tightened more than finger tight. I gave used mild locking compound on such screws, but in a small amount. In general, the stuff causes more problems than it prevents.
