FX Lock this thread please- Discussed with Fredrik, there is no evidence of POI shift in FX barrel liner system

What a load of rubbish about cleaning the barrel, what about when you fit a brand new liner aput put 50 rounds through it to lead it up and the POI still shifts
I have a Rpaid 7 that I have put 50,000 rounds through it, I have never cleaned it,and the POI never shifts from year to year, unlike my Impact that shift from the gun cabinet to to putting it in my car.

Since this topic is still kicking, I would like to add two things. First is about FX seeing no issue with it. I’m not sure how long the 8k viewers of this topic have been into PCP’s. It was always common practice to check your zero before shooting or hunting. Thinking back, it may have been more prominent with one brand. If that was the norm then there would be no problem. Sight in your gun, enjoy the rest of the shooting session or hunt. Rinse and repeat on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday…….. The second thing is slightly off topic. Compare the views of issue topics to the newest latest greatest gun topics. If all the guys who view hype topics would read issue topics, there would be far less disgruntled airgun owners.

Of course FX see no issue. They don’t see an issue with imperfect crowns either. I am getting good groups when it’s tuned right. But im finding its very sensitive to changes in whatever.. I’ll get a great group on one target move onto the next target and the group has shifted POI. This on the same day after sighting in. How do you explain great groups but in different places on the same day.

That’s where you take advantage of the classifieds. Sounds like it’s time to move on to another gun. Plenty of other guns that I don’t have to explain great groups in different places on the same day.

When you own 7 Air rifles of a certain brand ( Theoben Rapids of varying models ) , that never shift zero from one year until the next, checking zero doesn't seem much point, however you are right you should do it, But with an Impact it seems you must check zero before you shoot at anything at all. But Mr Axelsson is not going to admit there is a design flaw. it has too many joints that induces tolerance stacking, When you buy an out of the Box Air rifle for £2k it should work out of the Box, other companies manage it, RAW Air arms, Daystate etc.

The Impact is popular because of how it looks, it would be even better if it worked how it looks as well.

Fredick should run for politics .I think that FX would be better served by getting their heads out of their assholes and addressing the POI problem and fixing it rather than pretending that it does not exist . For what an FX cost the consumer should not have to figure out how to solve the problem after they buy it . I played with my crown for a year. I reinforced the liners with fiberglass and even drilled holes in the shroud to fill it with spray foam .I never was able to solve POI problem .I didnt want to keep the gun but I didnt want to sell it and screw someone .I recently put a LW stainless barrel on it and it is now capable in competing in serious BR competition events I have 3 RTI Prophet1s and a Vulcan3 and they all are excellent at holding POI. I will never buy another FX

The reason for that might be that when filling the bottle the compressing air gets warm and less weight of air per shot as a result. When it is cooling down the air weight per shot increase again so more air down the barrel.
Fx dynamic express .35 haven't been able to get anything to shoot well had various small amounts so shot them but then put in 100 grain zans 3 groups lower right each touching or hair from then refill and back to 10 inch spread
