Jimmy, it could also just mean you’ve got all your pcp’s tuned to your liking. All dialed in. Remember that thread that was all about modifying the impact? I believe member EDOSAN had started it. It went for like 60 something pages? A lot of folks were involved in that, sharing test results, mods, etc.
During that time the wildcat MK2’s were out, the Dreamline was making its debut, and velocities in the mid to upper 900’s we’re dropping jaws.
Let’s face facts- this website is very very FX popular. Sure, there are the daystates, RTI’s, etc but more so out of all brands FX takes up most of the topics. As soon as the impact was “figgere’d out”, parts became more available to customers, and FX started providing buttons, levers and switches in all their guns look at the topic trends, how most of them turned into tune sharing. Meanwhile guys like yourself who already know all there is to know on what they own, the topics today seem “ho hum”.
The compressor section used to be a big favorite of mine. Seems the whole first page is about the Yong Heng, oil type for the Yong Heng, and how to fix the Yong Heng. No one talks much about filtration or misc air equipment anymore, it seems. The misc parts section, I swear that topic about the DonnyFL fat boy disappointment, it’s been stuck there for like four months it seems. I can’t wait for that topic to flip over to page 2, ha ha.
What would be cool is if more folks posted up step by step photos of when they took apart their Yong Heng. I notice not too many folks post up step by step tutorials much, except guys like MtnGhost with his crazy machining skills, and Mubhaur and his continuous impact tweaking towards perfection.
Anyway, just my take on things. I think I know how to fix the “ho humm”- go and get a new pcp platform, and things will spark back up! Ha!
